Hey there. Long time cat owner but first time bengal owner. My wife and I are going to be getting two bengal kittens around the end of April. A boy and a girl. I'm quite excited about it. My last little buddy (a firepoint siamese mix rescue) sadly passed away a few weeks ago after 10 years. It was really bumming me out to see his empty dish so I started looking around at shelters and online. What attracted me to bengals, besides their beautiful markings and fun personalities, was their trait of being more forgiving to those with allergies (my niece is allergic). I found a nearby breeder https://www.catsinthecradlebengals.com/about-us and decided it was meant to be. I initially decided on the boy but talked the wife into the girl today  I couldn't get photos to upload from my iPad but if you go to their available kittens they are the ones that say sold to Clint and Annie. May can't come fast enough. I'm looking forward to researching the forum while we wait to pick them up.

Welcome Clint! You are getting two gorgeous marbled babies!!! I know you are super anxious to have them in your home. Do know that bengal cats are not allergy-free! They shed less than other cats, but one who is allergic can still have a reaction with a bengal. Make sure you bengal-proof your home and have your cat tree, toys, litter boxes (at least 2), beds all ready to go.

I did notice the breeder has no information whatsoever on their website on their queens and sires.

Thank you!

Yes I realize no cat is truly hypoallergenic, but some are better than others. I just wanted to try getting a breed that would hopefully allow my niece to visit again.

We do have a very large, sturdy homemade cat tree and a couple of kat kave litter boxes. We're working on bengal proofing now. My wife likes her nicknacks so that'll have to be addressed. I'm moving my downstairs office out of the family room and into a spare bedroom. So much to do!

I couldn't find a link on their site, but I did find a page from their site through google listing their queens here: https://www.catsinthecradlebengals.com/queens. They do state that TICA papers are provided on proof of spay/neuter.

Congratulations on getting 2 bengals - they will be rather different to your previous siamese, no doubt.

Now is the time to bengal-proof your home, make sure that there are plenty of places to climb ( they'll find their own if you don't provide them ;-) ) and buy some bitter apple spray for the things that shouldn't be nibbled.

Oh and toys, lots and lots of toys.

The breeder has some beautiful queens. Anything breakable must be put away. Cats are notorious for jumping and wanting to be high up -- so even at the ceiling is not safe.
