Thank you Laura. I guess I can be determined, but only because in that instance I didn't have much choice! It's been hard work but the rewards have been immense. And all that physio has given me a lovely washboard stomach. There have to be some benefits, right?

Yes I agree. This has been a heart warming, inspirational thread. I was especially glad to hear all those positive messages about starting again in relationships, with all the audacity (and added touch of wisdom) that that requires. I guess it proves you can't keep us down for long!

And perhaps also, it suggests that if the one you love turns out not to be 'the one', then maybe they are 'the one before the one'. That sounds a bit trite, I haven't put it very well, and of course everyone wants their marriage / relationship to last forever. But I think the idea that there's life - and love - after a relationship breakdown is always positive to hear.

LOL.. I have come to the conclusion there is no such thing as 'the one'. I think what probably works is being with someone you can stand and they can stand you.. LOL
