Yes I am bathing Shula's eyes with warm boiled water. I think they may be getting a little better and am fairly sure its something to do with the Catsan dust. Am in the process of changing over to the wood pellets as you say, mixing the two at the moment.
Have also been reading up on what is in the wet cat food. Didn't realise there was so little actual meat in it. Have bought some Hilife which Shula likes, also some Burns, and have also sent for some of the other stuff i've seen recommended on here, begins with a B I think, from Sweden,(suffering short term memory loss, must be my age). She doesn't seem to be a fussy eater, but definitely likes the 'real meat' pouches best.
When the weather here has improved (we are knee deep in snow) I will take her to the vet if the eyes are not completely better. By the way Shula had a vet check when she was at the sanctuary. But I do need to have her chipped as well.
Re the photos. I dont have a camera, but my nephew will take some pics of the cat when he next visits and will show me how to post them. He'll enjoy that!
