I am asking for everyone on the forum to be as thoughtful as possible & sensitive to the requirements of new posters.......

I have been lucky enough to ask questions & receive some great advice, but recently I have realised that not everyone is so lucky...

When newbies post on this forum they tend to be asking for constructive advice... Not verbal abuse...

Unfortunately I have witnessed rather strong opinions from a few individuals towards new posters recently...

I know that nobody wants to see any harm come to kittens, cats or posters & sometimes strong emotions can be stirred...

Lets remember though, that a new poster asking for advice should not be criticised or that will just drive them away....

Lets embrace our new posters & support them on their journey....

Katie xx

Found it!

If something or someone on this forum personally offends you then let me know asap and I'll deal with it. Threads will get heated occassionally and strong opinions made, however, there's no need for the attitude that has been displayed in this instance!

The thread in question has been locked and moved until I have time to fully read through it, though at a glance I'm disapointed yet again with certain attitudes present (I will be contacting those involved to discuss this further).

Be nice to each other...

Well said hunny.

I would hate to think i have offended someone, i am a sensitive person and would be upset if i was to receive such treatment or to think i have treated someone like that.

Lets hope we can move on and continue to use the forum in the way it was intended.

xxx

One of the reasons why I stay in the background and NEVER ask questions, heaven forbid if someone takes something you write the wrong way!

There will always be occasions where things can be misinterpreted or two people don't share the same sense of humour but the thing I always try to do is re-read my posts before I press the submit button and imagine how I'd feel if someone made the comments to me.

Good for you for bringing this up. I'm definitely an inexperienced bengal owner and the more experienced ones have been very kind to me. I tend to only go to a few parts of the form and have only seen one that the first person to respond was well, rude and really mean. Everyone else was very quick to give a kind polite response.
