All the stuff you mentioned was exactly what I was going to do. At first I won't attempt to touch him and when I feel he is ready we might try a feather stick or something first.

And oh Ren.. thank you so very much for your kind words.. seeing that from you and from Miki on another Board is just wonderful for me as I am quite a newcomer to Bengals but just seem to have a gift with them and that is a joy because so many need help. Someone at work said earlier that Bengals are like the Pit Bulls of the cat world? I thought it was quite a good analogy given how a lot of shelters react to Bengals.

Thank you for the advice on boxes. I think I might have a couple I can put in the room and if I don't I can get some. there are a couple of cat cubes in there which actually I need to replace. Oddly the two Siamese kittens I fostered, Ping and Posey were the WORST and most destructive of the fosters.. bless em.

Don't be daft hun...you are doing really wonderful things & you definately have a knack with them, Simba is going to be in the best hands :wink:

Ren.. I have NEVER had a kitten as crazy as Ping. That was how he got his name from us because he was like a Ping Pong ball.. all over the place.. think bouncing off the walls and you have got Ping.

I miss the little guy and I don't know where he went but I hope he is happy. He and his sister were shelter kittens believe it or not.

Awww I just posted on the photo thread for him, but I'll say it again...he sounds like an absolute sweetheart, thank goodness he was rescued well done!

It's so upsetting how many end up in shelters...I have in my contracts that they must come back to me at any age if they can no longer be kept but who knows...in Simba's case would the relatives know about this term in the contract? Would they even think to look for a contract? Very doubtful, especially when dealing with the grief of losing their loved one & just needing to get the cat homed.
I shudder to think of any of my babies ending up in shelter, or worse still euthanised for being themselves

We will call you the bengal whisperer...it is wonderful what you are doing for these precious cats. They probably immediately calm down in your presence because they sense you energy, love, and patience and feel safe.
