Yes I bought an extra large bag of cat litter Gavin!

I will post more pictures as soon as I can - might be hard to get the dog with the kitten together. they are constantly in motion but I'll give it a try! Today for a moment the dog was nuzzling the kitten while the kitten was purring away. I find it funny how much they like each other and initially I was worried my dog might hurt the little guy. Shows what I know!

Awwww, cats and dogs do generally get on as long as the cat is introduced as a kitten, a fully grown cat would freak if it had never seen a dog before and in turn the dog would panic :o

Very nice photos -- I'm still very impressed with Kuhmar's lovely contrast. And it looks as if RED will be one of the colors which makes his striking contrast POP ! ( Love that white tummy, too! )

I was noticing - as "cute" as those little "needle" feet are, in photos, if you are going to keep them clipped as he grows up -- when they are YOUNG is the best time to train them. I keep 7 of my 9 indoor cats nails clipped. The other two were 7 months old, when I got them, and I still can't sucessfully clip theirs, unless they have one that is snagging everything, and sometimes they will allow me to clip THAT ONE. (grin)

If you start them YOUNG, and are very careful not to clip into the quick. They can be trained well, to sit and tolerate it.

Just a thought, in case no one has mentioned it to you.

Nail clipping can be a bit daunting if you've never done it before but check out this page.... Tuhina Bengals - How To Trim Cat Claws. It has some EXCELLENT pics and advice on how to trim nails (scroll down for the pics) In fact the whole site is an absolute GEM for info about cats (Bengals in particular) :)

I personally find it easier to use Human nail clippers and It always help if you can do it whilst your cat is relaxed and comfy :D

We haven't clipped Zues and Hestia's nails at all and they are 8 months old now - so probably a bit late to try? Will it cause them any harm if they are left au naturelle?

I think claw clipping is more for our benefit than for theirs :D. I know loads of people who have never trimmed their cats claws but then I know loads of people who do it regular. Personally, I try to do it every couple of weeks (it helps reduce the number of scars on the back of my hand and around my ankles  )

It does help if you start to do it when their young but I don't think it'll do any harm to give it a go now. If you?re worried, just take the tip of the claw off....you'll be surprised how much of a difference it makes.

One thing you need to take into consideration. INDOOR cats do NOT have the same "wear" on their nails that an outdoor cat does. Even with MULTIPLE scratching posts, it's difficult for them to keep them at a reasonable length.

I've known of people who had cats who's claws curved and grew into the PADS... which can be VERY painful for the cat... and ultimately cause MUCH more problems for the CAT, than just "catching on the carpets"

I don't clip my cats claws VERY short... just "nip" the tips off (and YES with regular fingernail clippers) to keep them from "snagging" on everything.

When trained to have them "clipped" when YOUNG... they tolerate it, pretty well... and it does save some on furniture, and YOUR skin... while not really HARMING the cat. Just be careful to NOT nick the "quick" -- just like your own nails, if clipped to short, can hurt, too.

Just the opinion of an OLD lady with 9 cats living in her house. ;)

Awww, what a sweetie, he looks gorgeous.

Our bengals are always up to mischief one way or another.

We was fast asleep in the early hours of the morning, only to find a bengal on the headboard. Zeus had open the door downstairs, come upstair, pushed open our bedroom door and climbed up the headboard to sit on our windowsill. Cheeky so and so.
