Hi there!

My name's Ana (or Annie)... Annnnd my boyfriend, Wes, and I just got our first bengal kitty!

We spent the weekend before last visiting our friends Dawn and Dave in SC (you probably know Dawn as Nutkitty) and, after getting to meet her cat (Perkin), we decided that a bengal would be the perfect cat for us!

Soooo, without further ado, here she is!



We haven't quite decided on a name yet. The breeder named her Sookie (which I actually kinda like), but we're also considering a few others (Rae, Stila, Reny, ???).

Update: We've decided to call her O-Ren Ishii - aka "Ren" after Lucy Liu's character in "Kill Bill"


We picked her up in Alabama yesterday, and I took a bunch of pics on the way home with my cell phone... (She did not like being in a carrier at ALL... and I couldn't stand to see her locked up either. Luckily she ended up being quite well behaved and slept in my lap for most of the trip. )

We also have a hedgehog (Eva) and a great dane (Atlas). I can't wait 'til we get to introduce them too. She's SOOOO going to run circles around Atlas!

Yay!! I'm glad you decided to join and post! (I've been pestering her since I found out she was going to get a bengal...)

I've already told you all of this, but again - I think the two of you are going to make for great bengal owners, and that you won't be disappointed in the breed.

Your kitten is soooo pretty, and I bet you're going to love her more and more as she realizes that you aren't going to eat her.

Hello Ana!!!

I am so glad to see you here! I have had my eye on Bengals from Sookie's breeder for ages. I even saw a picture of Sookie when it was posted on a Bengal list and admired her! She is adorable!!!!

I love how you took the plunge and got a Bengal just from a visit to Dawn and Dave's. Perkin is a good Bengal ambassador!!

Enjoy your kitty. She looks so very content there. I know you love her already. It was probably love at first sight?!

That's definitely true about Perkin being a good Bengal ambassador. Wes couldn't stop playing with him.

Our little girl is still getting used to her surroundings, but she seems to be doing well. (She hides under the guest bed a lot, but she will come out to play/eat/use the litterbox/etc.)


I'll definitely be taking lots of photos as she gets more adjusted!

(...and yes, yes, we absolutely adore her!)
