Your friend is correct Gavin......once they get a taste for the outside they just want more and escape will be the only thing on their mind!
We let Reggie out on a harness and he loved it, But then he started howling to get out all the time.....so we gave in and had him neutered and let hm out.
Maybe there wouldn't be so much of a problem with Heista as girls don't really want to roam as much.
It'll be ok until you get your run sorted out I should imagine.....But don't give in to them like we did!
I own and drive a taxi for a living doing silly amounts of miles and I see many dead cats on the road.....in fact only two nights ago I picked one up and laid it on the grass verge, Heidi was on the phone whilst I was doing it.....so sad I was nearly in tears doing it.....I'll spare you the details, But it was horrific mate.....as I've said "I ALWAYS pick them up" regardless of how upset it makes me!
It had no collar so I couldn't inform anyone.......I can't understand why people who live anywhere near busy roads let their loved ones out.....not to mention without any collar!
Anyways sorry to ramble on....Let your babys out on a lead, Just don't give in to them when they want more....and enjoy the sight of them freaking out chasing flys, But beware of wasps and bees.....and make no mistake! (bingo paw)
