Not something I've seen before, but certainly looks interesting....

We currently have a cat enclosure, but would be much better if they could roam the garden.....

However, remember that Bengals seem to be smarter than your average cat, so it would have to be absolutely fool proof, if there was a way to get around it, they would almost certainly find it!

For example, our Bengals opened the hatch into the loft of our house the other day! Considering this is 7ft high and in the middle of the ceiling, it was quite impressive..... still don't know how they did it! Think they may have stood on top of a nearby door and paw'd at it till it opened!

I wouldn't have high hopes of this system working to well, It's basically just like an electric fence. Heidi's family own stables and have quite a few ponies, they have used electric fences for as long as I can remember around the field to keep them in.....It works great for that purpose but I can't see how it could be adapted for smaller animals, especailly ones that travel at lightspeed!

Theres a system over here thats called "Invisable pet fencing". It works by laying a cable underground around the perimeter of your property, and then having your pet wear a collar which gives it a very small shock combined with a high pitched sound....It suppose to keep them a set distance away from the boundary line in theory!

I have every faith that both systems will work with dogs and other livestock, but cats and electric shocks just won't work IMO......even though the current is tiny and only comparable to a static shock.

Bengals are high strung at the best of times.....no need to charge them up anymore!

I think you're right - I doubt a little electric shock would deter a Bengal in hot pursuit of a spider or cricket etc
