Oska has been with us for a couple of days now, and I've noticed a few bad habits (he was very spoilt as a kitten as he was the only one in the litter)

The main one being wanting our food.

He has settled in very well with us and our other cats (3 moggies) I can see the food thing being a problem as he gets bigger.

Last night whilst we were trying to eat he was very vocal and kept jumping on the table and trying to take stuff off our plates, which obviously was very amusing at the time but is something we need to stop.

What is the best way to discourage this.

Last night in the end he got shut in his room (with his bed, food cat litter etc) which he wasn't impressed with moaned the entire time!

incase anyone is interested or has the same problem, we adopted the water spray, he gets told no and then if he keeps insisting on jumping on the table we spray him.

I also give him some food before we sit down to eat, seems to be working just had lunch without so much as a meow out of him!
