They are too big to put on the kitchen scales, plus my kitchen scales have a needle on it so much harder to read! I think digital kitchen scales might be the way to go though as they have smaller increments of weight and the human weighing scales seem to just cope with heavier things, well mine do anyway, plus I am not sure how good Tesco Value scales actually are!

hi there, i use digital kitchen scales with a box on top for kittens to sit in (just a tupperware plastic tub) until they reach about 1kg to 1.5kg, then they get a little too big & wriggly, so i move up to a baby weighing scales & use those right into adulthood.
you can pick them up for around £40 on ebay usually...might sound a lot but they come in handy for keeping an eye on weight throughout their lives

We have a postal scale that weighs anything from really light (under an ounce) to really heavy packages, works out nicely! I put a box on it, tare it to zero, and then put Sammie in it and it is really accurate and reads pounds and ounces (and could be switched into metric, but I don't understand that system )
