My bf found a kitten about 3 weeks ago, i just want to ask you
IS THIS A BENGAL CAT?
if it's not, what kind of cat is it?
if it's, what kind of bengal is it?

Not a expert on wild cat kittens,but that looks like some type of wild cat to me.

I agree with Bullit and Meemonkey, this kitten looks like an ALC, no bengal,
and if the kitten was found, then the proper authority should have been contacted,you SHOULD NOT be keeping the kitten.

Sure looks like an ALC and the colors remind me of the northern ALC. ( Grayish-brown ) b. euptilura The Far Eastern forest cat, East Siberia

It looks about 2-3 months age tops.

honey........ALC = Asain leopard cat. If you are from Indonesia as your profile says......you are 100% sure to have an Asain leopard cat.
You will have to ask your boyfreind where he found it. He could be.........and I am sure is 100% wild.I got both the subspeices mixed up as I didnt know where you came from. The dark color at his /her age sort of gave me a hint.( northern ALC )

So the subspeices is : bengalensis . minuta Philippines . That is north of you. ( hence the bengal word in the bengalensis )
Your kitten will be about 9-10 pounds adult,,,if its a male.......7-9 pounds if it is a female.
You dont have a bengal, you have the ultimate '' founder '' of the bengal race. All '' bengals comes from an Asian leopard cat.....the first generations are called filial of '' F '' cats. EG : f1= first generation, F2= second generation .........ect..till the 5th generation, then you have the bengal '' race '' that started in the 1990 's.

He / she will be nice till about 6 -7 months. I have to warn you at that age watch out for thoses teeth.....they are twice the size of '' house'' cats.

Dont forget you have a ''wild '' kitten.........be calm,do not play with your hands..give him toys ...........pick him / her up often......bond with the kitten.Sleep with him / her. Feed your kitten cooked chicken.........and some raw chicken.......he / she will need it. But first and the most important......love the kitten,,,,,somehow the kitten was lost and needs you.

yes, i'm from Indonesia.
he found it at a ditch near his house.
It doesn't have sound like a cat, but like a little tiger (hissing sound).
It doesn't afraid of water like other cats do.
Is it dangerous to keep it?
when he first found it, it's a little wild but now it's quite tame.
What is the main differents that distinguish ALC from Bengal?

looking at the pictures and face (as much as you can see) it really looks like a fishing cat to me, with the colour and nose shape but it is really hard to see.

the paws in picutre 2 look that greyish colour that of the FC whereas the ALC would be lighter and spotted
also the head on the ALC is more rounded,i know the kitten is still developing but the shape doesn't look consistent in that of the ALC.

what does everyone else think?

perhaps clearer more detailed photos would help!

Sorry but am i the only one who thinks keeping this kitten is wrong, taking
an animal from the wild is wrong, and if it had been abandend, the the proper
authority should have been contacted, everyone seems to be encouraging this person to keep the kitten, what happens when the kitten grows in to a young adult, and is to hard to handle, by then it would not know how to fend for it,s self in the wild.
You need to seriously think about what your doing, all baby animals are cute, but they all grow up, what future does this animal really have living in your home, and how long are you really prepared to keep it.

my point was just that i think it is very wrong to take an animal from the wild, without knowing for sure that the animal had been abandond by it's mother,
it seems to me that some people hear on the forum are to keen (sometimes) to put people down for having an opinion, or even for not having a true bengal,
and granted i obviously know very little about the ' authorities ' in Indonesia,
and for the kitten to be caged, sold or even killed is last thing anyone would want to see, but the fact still remains, that a baby WILD cub was taken from the wild, without knowing for sure that it had been abandoned by it's mother, and that is wrong

just my opinion
