This is, in a way, a little embarrassing.

I had no idea that my wife was a member of this forum and so, innocently, came here in search of desperate help regarding our two Bengals of whom one (or both) will, sooner or later, fall off of our wretched tree and endure a very horrible, nasty death. It *will* happen and I don't really want to be there when it does; but it *will* happen.

I have a very caring nature in respect of God's creatures. My wife is, conversely, completely blase and carefree in her take on life, hence our oblivious differences in what constitutes "a dangerous environment".

Me: a seven foot drop onto a solid wooden table or a metal radiator = a broken neck or worse.

My wife: a seven foot drop onto a solid wooden table or a metal radiator = pah, grow a pair you wimp.

It is with regret that my wife has chosen to leave a forum to which, I am sure, she has provided much value via her contributions.

My post was made with only the concerns and safety of our cats in mind.

I apologise if anyone was offended.

Clare told me about you, Chuckles. I honestly find it hard to believe you did not know your wife was part of this forum. Even my husband knows as I discuss things on here with him. That being said, I know Clare was truly concerned when Pearl fell off the stair railing and tried to find a solution to prevent her from getting up there. I saw a picture of your cat tree and it's a good cat tree. It's great you are super worried about Magic and Pearl, but they have survived these years fine. My Raiden hopped up on a 8' ladder yesterday and practically got tangled up in the rungs trying to get down. Luckily, I was there to unravel him and bring him safely to the floor. Just like children, pets get into situations. If you are worried about Magic or Pearl falling 7', then create something that breaks their fall. My big DSH has fallen twice from the top of a cat tree and I placed one of his soft beds on the floor to catch him now.

Your apology here is accepted, but you need to apologize to your wife. She was truly upset. She's been a part of this forum for years and I, for one, hated to see her post a goodbye.

huh... I saw that post but still confused... seemed like a normal disagreement to me but nothing for anyone to be upset about. Seems to me you both care about the kitties. If the husband is worried, time for him to break out the tools and build some awesome looking cat shelfs over the radiator for kitties to land on. Even if it's not needed, kitties won't mind more play areas.

My bengals have fallen from their tree when younger, doesn't seem to happen anymore.

You tell me on one hand that you definitely don't think low of her, on the next post you call her a special snowflake with no backbone.

Sorry to intervene, newbie here. Browse a few forum threads, all seem good and friendly, I even got a very long explanation about Bengal. Love to be here.
