Can anyone give me some advice on this?

She has been happening for some time now and I am unable to find any toy that takes its interest. Are they able to chew on pig's ears or is this just a speciality for dogs?

Has anyone else had this problem and been able to resolve it? My cat must have eaten its way through at least three blankets and a shawl when it was able to sneak into my wardrobe. Her brother is fine and has none of these issues.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has had the same problem and has resolved it.

Many thanks
Octavia

It's called pica

There aren't really any cures. There was also an episode of "My cat from hell" on pica that you should probably check out.

Unfortunately, managing this largely falls on you and your ability to keep inappropriate things away from your cat.

Yes, it is Pica. The key is to eliminate the woolens and soaps. This type of behavior cannot be changed. It sup to you to take away the items causing this. Although with Pica, it is possible she will find something else. This is like OCD in humans. Know that ingesting anything like this can be fatal to your kitty, so please take away anything that she may want to digest.
