Sorry, I thought the pod tracker had a camera in it. It's strange his route has changed like that. But, at least you know where he has been. I wish I could get Legs to wear his pod tracker. You may have hit on something with the book. I've had Raiden since he was six years old, and he hasn't changed a bit! Now he's 10! Still a handful most of the time.

It's quite an enlightening read!

All the agitation and vocalisation before using the tray is now explained! He's basically not feeling safe enough to pee or poo outside so it's not that he's forgotten to go before I call him in... He's holding it in to use the litter tray but it is a tough decision for him as his preference is to go outside. Which explains the massive clumps of pee I have to scoop out, compared to the much smaller clumps from Hendrix, who goes regularly.

I honestly thought the trays would be used less at this time of year, but I'm scooping them more frequently than ever!

So he's definitely upset about something outside and I'm now wondering about the position he takes up every night next door but one. Maybe he's actually guarding his territory.

Cats are so complicated!

Cats are truly not complicated. We simply cannot understand them. For one who can understand cats, things are easily explained. The foxes still can be the issue. I really feel for you. Sometimes Raiden drives me up the wall -- like this morning when it's about to start raining and we are three blocks from the house and he feels like stopping every five steps to see if he can spot another cat. Keep the faith things will improve eventually.

Looks like it is the foxes as suspected. Had a bit of an incident last night when I was calling Jagger in for the night. A fox suddenly appeared from nowhere as Jagger was running along the road to me, as he does every night for a quick play on the lawn with the flying frenzy. This fox was literally snapping and snarling at his heels. Fortunately, me being there stopped the fox as Jagger did a sharp left into my neighbours drive and I ran towards the fox to chase it off.

Jagger seemed fairly nonplussed by the experience - I think it shook me up more than him! Having said that, he was pretty quick to go to bed without the usual fuss.

I'm constantly told foxes don't attack cats but Jagger is like a fox magnet. And I don't understand why! At least our back garden seems pretty much a fox free zone now. If only Jagger would stay in it!!!! Hendrix is now joining him with the staring at a neighbour's border all evening (although he was on our roof at the time). I should have asked her at the weekend what is in there as I'd rescued their tortoise from a trip into the middle of the road on Sunday after he escaped from their back garden. Seriously the Usain Bolt of the tortoise world - he was a fast mover!!

I think any animal can attack if provoked! It just appears that you, Jon, Hendrix and Jagger will have to co-exist with these foxes. You might want to watch out for the tortoise as well. I hear they can be vicious!
