How often does the breeder update pictures with you?

I'm buying out of state Bengal kitten, I want to know how often the breeder would update pictures with you

In my case, I'll have to ask for picture every weeks...
She won't update unless I check with her...

JewelsPride Bengals puts pictures of the kittens on their Facebook page every week (with the owner's first name) and the owners can pull them off. Every breeder is different. Many will take a video for you as well. And nobody can be as busy as Carmen at JewelsPride since she had four queens give birth within a 2 week period -- one had 9 kittens. She works a full time job as well. If she can do it, any breeder can do it!

I would think a weekly picture should not be a huge inconvenience.

In my quest for a great bengal database, Carmen was the ONLY breeder who helped me out. Oh, and I should give a shoutout to Esmond Gay who had Sarez Bengals who gave me some valuable information. Carmen keeps her Facebook page for JewelsPride updated and does a great job updating her website as well. She is showing one of her studs who should become a Supreme Champion in a week. She has taken in two foster bengals for a breeder whose queen just died. She socializes all her kittens. She is an amazing woman if anyone in Canada is looking for a bengal kitten, I would ask that you check them out.

I'm getting an out of state F1. The breeder sent me pictures the day he was born and has sent or posted on her FB page both pictures and videos as he's growing. I never have to ask for anything. I was looking for a local breeder but was so impressed on how she interacts with the babies I couldn't pass her up. Here's the latest picture I got yesterday. He will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Carmen from Jewelspride was my breeder and not only did she post weekly photos and videos on her Facebook page of my girl but she often sent private email kitten personality updates as well.

We were spoiled.

What a cutie pie! But, aren't all bengal kittens cuties? LOL. I know you can't wait to get your baby.

Andrea .... happy to hear from you. I stay in touch with Carmen and comment on her Facebook page. She loves having Echo when your family goes on vacation. It's wonderful when the breeder is proactive and the buyer doesn't have to beg for information on their kitties. However, some breeders just either don't have the time or want to wait to be asked for pictures or videos. But, if you've put a deposit down on a bengal kitten, do not feel bad about asking for a weekly update on your kitty. If your breeder balks at it, you've picked the wrong breeder.

As everyone has said - this so varies from Breeder to Breeder.
We have, personally, purchased from a few different breeders:
Only one of them provided regular updates / pictures of the kittens after we had purchased / reserved. One we got nothing from at all; others would allow visits sometimes and others would provide only if prompted.

We feel that it's a big part of the whole process and, outside of just Facebook, Twitter, etc. we provide a weekly update with personal information, pictures and sometimes videos. We want their family to see them growing up and know who they are and something about them.

Happy to see you back. Ontario. You are the only breeder posting here. I think with Facebook, it is easy to update with pictures and have the owners pull them off. And a couple of videos during the 12-week period before the kitten leaves is not too much to ask either. It is very important that the bond starts early.

It's been a busy time here; we are just about to acquire a new kitten ourselves (pictures coming soon!)

It really isn't a big deal - we like to take pictures anyway.

One of things we like to add is the milestone information, here's a snippet from our last litter's Week 3 update:

"So they are doing really well. They are working on walking and just starting the beginning of play. At this point it's more like batting the air and the occasional nip to their littermate. The only really big stuff is when they fight over nipples from mommy!

Their eyes and ears have fully opened up and they look great.

Here's the official Week 3 milestones:
* Gains in Sensory and Motor Skills
* Better at regulating their own body temperature"...

etc. etc.
