In australia, vets will desex cats from about 10 weeks. It freaked me out at first when our breeder said she was having my girl done at 10 weeks to ensure that she had recovered well prior to placement in our home, but she's absolutely fine.

Early desexing really does make it so much easier for breeders to ensure that pet and show only cats don't get used for nefarious breeding purposes.

1) I got two kittens, they are 13 weeks old and they have that 'sparring' with each other, one of the reasons we decided to get two, to save our arms etc..lol it is normal for them to spar, they would in the wild too, its an instinct and its just play practise for when they have to go hunting.

2) Our breeder used to give out all papers, until she found out a female bought a kitten and now breeds from her, this same female lives in a flat and sells her kittens for £250. to me she is as bad as BYBing. My breeder now waits until you can prove the kittens have been neutered/spayed.

your kitten will love to have play fights. our moggie still did it at 16yrs old especially with my husband, he always had scratches from her.

When a breeder registers a litter of kittens with GCCF, if they are intended for the pet market that are overstamped non active on the reg slip so no litters can be registered with the GCCF from these pet cats. Same with TICA you can put S or N in the kittens sex box or mark them "not for breeding".

Withholding registration paperwork will not stop people from breeding from pet registered cats if that is what they intend to do. That's why these cheap bengal kittens have no registration paperwork. The parents were not supposed to be bred from.
