So I am relatively new to all of this. Last week I adopted a three year old Bengal from someone that took on a pit bull and after Rocky beet him up repeatedly she decided adopting him to a good home would be a good idea. He is awesome, vocal and is getting. Ore used to the new home each day. .
Having issues resizing pictures to post but will in the near future. Any advise is happily encouraged as this is my first Bengal.

Welcome to the forum and good on you for adopting Rocky.
My advice - spend a heap of time going back and reading any old posts on this forum that catch your eye. There's a wealth of info and tips on here, but don't let any of it "scare" you.

Rocky is going to need some time to adjust to his new environment and may act out a little bit. Be patient and loving, but don't force him into anything. As you'll figure out from reading on here, Bengals are a bit different from other cats, but I'm sure you're friend will have filled you in a fair bit before you to Rocky on and will be there for you for advice on his specific needs.

I'm sure some of the more long term members on here will gladly help you out with some great ideas. There's heaps who have adopted cats and now have super relationships with them.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on Rocky. Having a bengal is an adjustment and an adult who has been rehomed, even more so. So patience is the key and let him take as much time as he needs to come around. Some bengals adjust sooner than others. Just know that owning a bengal is not like owning any other cat. There is, indeed, a wealth of information on this website and just about any behavioral issue or health issue has been covered, but we are always happy to answer any questions you have.

Congrats. He was beating up on a pitbull? ouch, lol. Sounds like he is well-named then!

Bengals are fun cats to own, but they can be challenging. Most of the challenges can be greatly helped by making sure he gets enough exercise and stimulation. Getting some things for him to climb (like a tall cat tree, shelving, or climbing poles) and then wearing him out with interactive play (the wand toys help greatly) will greatly help him get some of the stimulation that he needs and solves a lot of potential behavior problems.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting Rocky.

There's a wealth of good advice here on the various sub-boards that might be helpful to you and Rocky as you both adjust.

Plenty of play will help him to bond with you. You'll find having bengals is great fun and you will always have someone to "help" you do *anytyhing* that you are doing around the house.
