Hi everyone :) looking for opinions please!

I have an 11 month old called Ruby, whom I was going to breed from. She's my absolute best friend and I'm in love! However, after much deliberation and research, I've decided to spay her, as I don't believe that I can offer anything to the futures of these amazing cats (aside love, cuddles and fun!), and that breeding should always be in though of moving forwards etc :)

So, before I decided not to breed her, I had a deposit down on a beautiful silver girl, who is 6weeks. When I went to meet them, she had a brown sister who was absolutely stunning and I was instantly drawn to her - however, I decided on the silver as it wasn't likely I'd get a silver from Ruby. I was going to keep one of Ruby's babies too. However - because I am now not breeding Ruby, I have 'space' for the brown girl too - what would you do? Space/finances aside, I could comfortably provide a loving and stimulating home for all three (Ruby, silver kitten & brown kitten), and the breeder is wonderful. The two girls have a really close bond.

What would you do? Do you think it would be too much for Ruby? Shall I just stick with the silver girl?

Sorry if I've made it complicated! I appreciate any replies :)

If it were me I would have all three the more the merrier, I have 2 and would love another but hubby doesn't want another one.

I'm sure they would both get along with Ruby as she is still young, I introduced Pearl to Magic when he was 4 years old and they get along fine most of the time, we have the odd spat but nothing serious.

If these were older cats I would say proceed with a lot of caution, but at this young age you could probably bring all three together without too much trouble.

3 young bengals is going to be a complete circus.

**slight break in typing whilst Babbage knocks over a glass of wine onto a table, sofa, human and one time white rug**

If you have the space, time, energy and forgiveness for three, I'd say go for it. Go careful on the introduction - give it time and do it gently, but go for it.

If you join the Facebook pages for bengal lovers, you will see many pictures of three or more bengals sleeping, playing, just enjoying each other. If you can afford all three, by all means get all three. I am happy to hear you had Ruby spayed only because breeding a purebred cat is an easy process. I know the stud does the work, but I've heard of many stories of kittens needing help to come out, queens who go into distress trying to deliver. I would not want to take that chance. Then making sure the kittens are okay, vetted, finding owners. Registration of litter. There is a lot to it! Most of the breeders take their pregnant queen to the vet for a sonargram to make sure the kittens are healthy and to find out how many there are.

Let us know what you decide.

Thank you all for your replies! I've actually called the breeder today to put a deposit down on the second kitten too, I couldn't resist! They are coming from Goldhills Pride bengals which is where I believe two other kittens I've read about on this forum were from. My Ruby is from there too!

We pick them up on 20th of May. So very excited for this new chapter! There was so much to consider with breeding, but I ultimately decided against it so cannot wait to get my new babies home!

When there is an opportunity to adopt two kittens together, go for it. They will be lifelong pals and it puts less stress on you to be the entertainment committee. When you watch them tumbling and playing you will know it is much better to have two than one solo cat.

I'm sure you can't wait for the new arrival! I have a bengal and I have an outdoor cat and they can be a handful, especially when the outdoor cat comes inside and Raiden wants to smack him with his paw or Raiden and I go out for his walk and the outdoor cat is in a playful mood and wants to engage Raiden in play and Raiden has no interest! Two cats in the house all the time would drive me crazy and they are ages 10 and 6. My one bengal is a handful! Can't wait to see pictures.

I don't know much about GoldHills Pride Bengals. I have 18 of their cats in my bengal database.

Thank you everyone! I'm picking them up on 20th May, really thought long and hard about it, and I know the right thing to do is get them together as littermates rather than go through this process again but have two resident bengals to introduce a kitten to! I'm happy with how it has all come together, so excited to bring them home and for Ruby to get some feline company. Can't wait to show you them!
