Hello everybody.. our first time here. So we rescued this beautiful kitty, named her Mimi. Friendly, sweet, active blue eyed kitty. The vet asked us where we found her and couldn't believe when we told her we got her from a rescue shelter. Shelter told us she is Domestic Short Hair but vet hinted to us that Mimi might be Bengal. I have now researched and she definitely looks like a Snow Bengal but Mimi has very minimal markings on her sides. She is very soft, does not shed. I have included a few links for her pics, hopefully they work... What do you guys think?

I'm certainly no expert and would rely on the more experienced members for input, but her head shape, nose and whisker pads don't seem quite right for a Bengal.
She's a beautiful girl either way and looks like a real sweety.

I think she could definitely have some bengal in her. We'll never know for sure, but what I do know is that she is a gorgeous baby! Congratulations and thank you for rescuing her.

Well, snow bengals have some siamese lineage in them, which gives them their "points", and your kitty obviously also has some oriental/siamese heritage as well. Bengal heritage though? Could be, but if so it doesn't show. I don't see it. If someone were to tell me this kitty was half oriental shorthair though, I'd believe them. Very attractive kitty though.

It's actually hard to tell from these photos because the cat is sitting down on a bed. Bengals have a distinctive body shape, and it shows up more as they approach adulthood. I suggest getting some standing photos from different angles in a few months and we could take another look.

i believe it's more likely that she's a lynx point siamese! she definitely looks like one to me (especially with the leg striping). i had a lynx point for a while, here's some photos of her:

Can't really see any obvious Bengal markings on her body. There's only tabby stripes on her legs. Yes, I'd think she's likely a Lynx Point Siamese too or a Purebred Siamese Seal Point/Tabby cross of some kind, not the typical Snow Bengal Seal Lynx Point which will have faint spots/rosettes.

Lynx Point Siamese is a gem by itself due to a paler-colored points and central facial area.

Hence although its tempting to compare such breeds to the newer Bengal breeds like Snow Bengal, I'd rather remove it from the equation, and appreciate her for who she is. And who cares, as she is still beauty! Just remember to blow kisses on her every night.:)
