Hey, this is great info for me as Miko's neuter is coming up soon!

Did you take the day off work to stay home with your little guy? Or do you work from home/retired?

And thank you for all the other people's comments and answers. Ontario- you always have great info! I just looked up your cattery and it's crazy how close we are! I am just at 404 and Steeles!

Good luck with the recovery! Must be tough with the wound-obsessed doggy but I'm sure it will all be fine in a few days time :) Oh and let me know if you find a good kitty t-shirt for him to prevent licking the wound. Thanks!

They should make onesies for female cats! LOL. Some people find a sock and cut off the toe and put that on the cat (if the cat is small enough - you don't want to squeeze her insides. LOL). This is why it's best the breeder handle the fixing of the cats. It is SO much easier on you. Not so much on the breeder! Hopefully, every day, your little gal will do better and in a couple of weeks, she will be bouncing off the walls full time. Happy it's over and done for you.

She's home, in her cage and hating it! She's rolling around in her litter try  But I need to keep her in the cage for as long as possible to protect the wound from our dog. I am getting a cat T.shirt from a friend tomorrow, as the cone of shame lasted about 2 mins!!!

Oh, and no way is she showing signs of being drowsy..when i picked her up, the nurse said she was bouncing around the cage

That's totally normal. I think it has to do with the anesthetic, when they come out of it they actually have a pretty huge case of the zooms!

Well last night I had to take her out of the cage as she was stressing so much, apart from the rolling in the litter, and non stop shouting at me, she was flicking her water everywhere with her paws ( she's never done that with her water) so her bed was soaked. She came out, went into her normal bed and went straight to sleep. She is jumping about, I'm just hoping she won't pull the wound. The poor dog wonders why I'm shouting at her whenever she goes near Lyra. I don't know whether I'm more worried of Lyra hurting herself with charging around, or with Amber licking it and getting infected. When I get the t.shirt on her will post a photo :)

Oh what a beauty!!!! All you can do is all you can do! Some females feel just fine after a spraying. Observe her and monitor the incision. She should heal a little more every day.
