I really need advice please i am having serious lack of sleep I am a new Bengal owner ..... probably making lots of rookie mistakes.
My little kitty is waking early and is mewing and scratching at our door nonstop everyday; this morning it was 4.30am 
She could sleep in with us as all she wants is company but she has pee’d on the duvet while we are still in bed several times.
I would love to ignore her but we have a house full and i worry that she will wake the rest of the house. I don’t feed her when i get up or play with her as i don’t want her to associate me getting up to doing those things. Any advice please? Thanks

Let her sleep with you. She wants to be close to you, part of the pack.

Oh, sorry didn't see the part about peeing on your bed...I wouldn't let her in there either. That's tough because my kitties love bedtime and being together.

Did you have a clean litterbox in your room, the times when she peed there?

How old is your baby?
When Xerxes was younger he peed the bed too and woke me every morning at 5:00-510. It's like he had an alarm clock! I put him in a wire kennel up high in our bedroom for a couple weeks at night with a litter box in the cage. Now he sleeps with me every night and he doesn't pee the bed and doesn't wake me in the early morning. Dont know if it would help you or not. Xerxes is very young, might be why it worked for us. Welcome to the forum and welcome to the world of bengals. I'm guessing your little one may be hungry at 4:30 a.m. Are you feeding a late-night meal? Kittens need to eat 5 to 6 meals a day as their tummies are tiny. As for peeing on the bed, I'm guessing this baby was litter box trained. If you have a large home, you may want to place boxes in strategic places to make it convenient for her to find one and go.

Bengals are highly social and love being with their humans. Mine sleeps at my feet every single night! Know, too, bengals are very vocal and if you're trying to keep a bengal quiet, it is not going to happen. She will wake up the entire household -- that's a bengal. You may have had other cats in your lifetime, but they are nothing like a bengal. Bengals bring challenges and you have to adjust to them because they will not adjust to you.

Also, make sure you play with her a lot before you go to bed. Wear her out and she may sleep a little longer. Mine woke me up at 2 a.m. this morning .. normally he will sleep through the night.

My thoughts on this are different to the others - my cats almost never sleep with me. They are put into the own room each evening - with litter trays.

There are 2 doors between me and them. If they were still kittens there would be food as well as the water that they have.

You will need a couple of weeks to train your kitten, and it will in that time try to make as much noise as possible to get your attention. You need to completely ignore it and not get up to see what it is doing or make any noise in response to what it is doing- like letting a baby cry out. There must be no payback for it until you are ready to get up.

After 2 weeks you won't be disturbed at night.

We are talking about a kitten here. It takes a while for a kitten to adjust to a new home and schedule. Be patient and give it time. Cranberry, I never imagined that your babies didn't sleep with you. I can't fall asleep until I know Raiden has settled in at my feet in the bed.

They were trained like that from birth and as a family back in the UK our cats were allowed out and about, but consequently not allowed on/in beds, so I was happy to continue the sleeping apart/used to putting cats in their own room at night.

As I said, occasionally I get the desire to let them roam free all night - I never get any sleep with Babbage crawling under the duvet by my head and crawling down to my feet then coming back up again for giggles and Ada just being Ada at 4am. I also get relegated to about a 1/4 of the bed.

Perhaps if they always slept with me they'd settle down more, but I really don't sleep well at the best of times, so I won't be finding out.
