So my mum has bengals and feeds them on highlife and a good selection of fresh meat. I have just got my pair and have been feeding them on Feline Fayre. Now I've read that they are high in sugar and it may not be the best diet for them.

What do you feed yours?

I understand some people just feed a dry diet. Im sure you get this question all the time.

I have had my baby boy for 2 days lol but I am feeding the same diet as the breeder currently.

Dry food - Natures Variety Raw Instinct Chicken Kibble
Wet food - Castor & Pollux Organix Chicken, Chicken/Chicken Liver & Turkey Pate

The ingredients seem pretty okay but I'll probably switch him to raw eventually. Still need to do some more research though.

Kittens should be fed at least some wet food for the water content. They may not be into drinking water fully at this point in their lives. Since it appears you are not from the States, I will bow to our UK members.

Lola is now at the vets for blood in her stool and a high temp. Im concerned that the diet change has caused this.

I think i should of listened about the sugar content in Feline Fayre.

Shes strictly on boiled chicken until they can find the cause :(

When we got ours we fed what the breeder gave them: Bozita for dry and raw paste - later we continued with Bozita kibble and Thrive tins. They both had soft poo and blood and episodes of diarrhoea in and off. Nothing in vets tests. Tried grain free diet - lily's kitchen - but nothing changed. Have now tried Applaws and at last normal stools and no blood! So Bozita and Applaws work for us. We only started the new diets after a while as they loved their paste for kittens.

Hopefully, Lola is fine. Please update us! Just know that going to a new home can wreak havoc in a kitten (stress).

I try to stick with venison as a single protein in my two cat's wet and dry food. They are prone to skin sensitivities, possibly because we live in Florida so I want to keep food out of the possible reasons why they lick the fur off their bellies. The vet believes it is behavioral, and at this point I tend to agree. But not wanting to mix things up too much I feed them a variety of venison wet food and Nature's Balance limited ingredient venison dry food as well. They love Mauri venison wet food, but the company rebranded to the name Koha and totally changed the food. Now one of my cats walks away refusing to eat any of it and the other one only picks at it. Forget about the leftover second half of the can from the refrigerator. They seem to enjoy Addiction's grain free venison stew but I can't find it in stock any longer. They will tolerate Nature's balance venison wet food but only once in awhile. They absolutely love Ziwi Peak venison wet food so I broke down and ordered a case for them. It is more than I want to spend on cat food but they absolutely love it and spin in circles when I am serving it to them. It makes them so happy, how can I disappoint? They have such beautiful fur and don't shed much, I have to think it is from a good diet. Their vet even commented on their amazing coats.

The Ziwi Peek venison cans arrived yesterday so I gave them half a can for breakfast. They have had it a couple of times before so I know they love it. I put it down and they both started snorting! One of them growled and they ate so fast it was gone in a flash! Then they both hung around me all morning just in case...
