Hi, Lyra will be 14 weeks old tomorrow. I'm feeding her 3 to 4 times a day on wet and dry food. She eats really well and drinks well also. At the moment she weighs 1.588kg. Is this about right. She seems skinny to me, but that may be because I'm used to fat moggys.?

A bengal is not shaped like your regular cat either. They are long and slender. There is no set standard as to what your cat should weigh. Once you get a new kitten, you should take it to the vet for a wellness check -- and the kitten will be weighed and evaluated by the vet. We use pounds and ounces here in the States so kgs are foreign to me! LOL

Echo weighed 4.7 pounds on her four month birthday and a whopping 6 pounds on her 5 month birthday. She is still on the "skinny" end but is healthy and seems to be growing nicely.

She's a very long and lean kitty.

Honestly, if you try to compare your bengal to other bengals, you are going to end up worrying yourself to death. Every cat is different. Even in a litter, there will be differences in the weights. As long as your vet is happy with the weight and the kitten is eating properly, gaining weight, and using the litter box regularly, then all should be well. A kitten needs multiple meals a day -- just like a baby does.
