RIP Kira, 6 months old.

It is with a heavy heart that I update this page. I am afraid that as of yesterday, the Bengal cat journey has taken a different turn, and from now on, it will only be Nala's journey. I took them out to the field to familiarise them with the outdoors, Kira freaked and managed to wriggle free of her harness and collar. By the time we found her, about 1 hour later, she was dead, presumably hit by a car. She was still warm when we found her, so we rushed her to the vet's, but there was nothing he could do, she was gone.

We are all in shock at the moment, but I wanted to update this page for those who are not my FB friends do and who might have missed the development on my Wall yesterday.

RIP Marbled Cutie, we are going to miss you. :cry:

I'm so sorry for your tragic loss you must be heart broken.

I feel very sad that this terrible accident has happened to you.

I don't know what to say except I am welling up just thinking about it.

Oh no. This is so tragic! It is so easy to spook a kitty. I know you are heartbroken and Ellie is as well. You were very fortunate to find her. May she rest in peace! I'm sure Nala will grieve for Kira as well. I am so, so very sorry to hear this sad news.
