Hendrix and Jagger

Happy Birthday boys! Is Hendrix/Jagger (jagger I think) just waiting for a bird to drop into his mouth in the top pic?! Honestly those two look like butter wouldn't melt! Yeah right! :rolleyes:

Yes that's jagger! He keeps curling up in the bird bath and also has a wash while he's there. I've stopped filling it while the foxes are around so they don't have a water source, but Jagger's decided it makes a comfy bed!

A few of my latest favourite pictures... the umbrella cover has had it I think - they seem to think it's a scratch post. Hendrix has started to launch himself at it to see if he can climb to the top...

Their coats are so nice and healthy looking. Which one is standing on the table in the last photo? He looks like a bundle of trouble.

That's Jagger. He has a really grumpy look on his face in that photo. To be honest he is less trouble than Hendrix! Hendrix has taken to walking behind Jagger and trying to knock his back legs from under him lately. Either that or nipping his ankles. Little pest. It always ends up with handbags and to be honest I don't blame Jagger for getting cross with him!

It's funny how they have their little moods and pecking orders. Lately Grace has been spending some time on the bed with Blondie and I. One night this week they were both on their backs on either side of me while i gently rubbed their bellies. They both fell asleep like that! It was just amazing, until Grace woke up and bolted. I have been sleeping late (in preparation for the time change :lol:

) and Grace comes right up to my ear and makes the sweetest chirp/meow sound very softly, then she rubs against my hand. She does this over and over until I get up and start my day. It is so much better than an alarm.

I'd love to be woken up like that, if only Grace could have a word with Jagger! He will attack my feet under the duvet, if that doesn't work, he'll try to find things to knock off the chest of drawers or hall units and as a last resort, will start shouting as loudly as possible!

Talking of pecking orders, Hendrix is usually on the bed with me every night with Jagger joining us just once or twice every couple of weeks. However, when Jon came home, after a couple of nights, Hendrix started sleeping in the living room instead. Those couple of nights, Jagger had also been on the bed (it was very squashed and uncomfortable!), and then Jagger was on the bed pretty much every night. He would be lurking until we started to get ready for bed, Jon would get in and then he'd jump on the bed and attack his feet through the duvet. I'll then get in and he'll come and lay by my feet and pretty much not move again until morning.

Jon has left again, Hendrix is back on the bed, Jagger sleeping elsewhere.... All very strange! He has taken to sleeping along the back of the settee where Jon sits in the evening though. I get the impression he's a daddy's boy!

That's interesting that Hendrix sleeps in the bed every night and Jagger only occasionally. It's the same with my two. Blondie has ho be on the bed with me every night. She has fought Grace for that territory for years. Grace generally sleeps elsewhere. Sometimes on the floor in a cat bed, sometimes in the cat trees, sometimes in the other bedroom, livingroom or kitchen. Once in a blue moon she will join us on the bed usually at my feet.

Complicated little critters, aren't they? Jagger usually joins us on bed change day, or I've done his flea treatment and he's upset - there's no fights, so not sure why he won't come in other nights. He's always so happy when he does come on the bed and gradually creeps closer and closer to Hendrix. Actually when they were kittens it was always him snuggled up to Hendrix.

Ah yes, the days I change the sheets Grace jumps up and lays all over them and usually takes an afternoon nap there. It's the same with the litter box. I clean it out and they are jumping in to mark it. When I change the liner and put fresh litter in one of the boxes, it's a mad dash to see who gets into it first!
