Indy is missing

Hi, I haven't posted here for a long time. My beautiful Indy is missing and I am desperate to find him. If anyone sees anything, a found bengal or anything at all, could you please let me know. he's went missing from Long Sutton area of Hampshire 7 weeks ago. He is 7 years old.

So sorry to hear that. Have you registered him on Animal Search Uk? They were very helpful when Hendrix went missing earlier this year. If Indy is insured with certain insurers you can get posters and leaflets printed by them and claim it all back.

Any clues as to what may have happened? My neighbour had workmen in and Hendrix got in their van and ended up 10 miles away, fortunately someone found his collar and contacted me. I had already contacted the company and they said they hadn't been anywhere else until I called again when his collar had been found, and they had been to an address literally across the road.

I am in Fareham Hampshire so I will keep my eyes and ears open and really hope he is home with you soon xxx

Thanks, yes, I have. pet register, bengal cat club and animal search. I've put up posters everywhere locally and put fliers though doors. It gives me hope that you got your Hendrix back.

My heart goes out to you. I know what Clare went through with Hendrix. Big hugs and keep positive. My aunt got her cat back after 16 months of him being missing. He was about 50 miles away living as a stray. He must have got into a car or something. Everything is crossed for you. x

Gosh, I am so very sorry to hear this. It is so heart wrenching to have a missing kitty. I've been there as well. However, my bengal does not go outside unsupervised. I would not want something to happen to him.

If he is microchipped, that might help get him returned. It's possible someone spotted him and picked him up. Happens all the time. Bengals are spectacular kitties and people are curious. I befriended Raiden before I ever took possession of him from his previous owner (he gave him to me).

Keep the word out about him. I don't know if there are any Facebook pages over there for lost and found pets. I had a stray go missing and I sent out 1,800 flyers and postcards to everyone in a 3-mile radius of my house. I got a slew of phone calls but nothing panned out. Most of all, don't give up! Keep checking shelters, rescues. Sometimes bengals can become too much to handle for someone not familiar with them. I'm sure you checked out all the ad places in case he showed up as being for sale.

Have you set him up a FB page? If you do that flood share it around all of the Bengal cat groups and also post that he's missing on the forums for sites that sell cats, pets4homes etc as if he's being sold on that's one of the places they would do it. I'm hoping he's just strayed away but the best thing to do if you are worried about theft is make him too hot to handle. Have you called all the local animal shelters and veterinary surgeries, local vets are another great place to put up fliers as if someone brings him in they know he's yours.

The thing is ... cats usually return home if they are able to, so something is preventing Indy from coming back home. The outdoor cat I take care of has been locked in garages five times already. Overnight three times, once for 3 days and one for 4 days. It was only my persistence in contacting neighbors that led to him finally being discovered and set free. Indy has been missing for quite some time.

People see a bengal and are amazed by its beautify and would not surprise me, if Indy is friendly, that someone picked up your kitty. The more you keep Indy's picture out there, the better the chances are that someone will spot him. He is a spectacularly handsome kitty.
