Hey Seraph!

Thanks - some awesome advice :)

I've got her sooooo many toys - Da Bird is one of them - but she seems a bit scared of it flying around, but chased it if I dragged it along the floor - I've had more success with a feather wand toy :)

Just ordered some of the chicken treats - so fingers crossed :)

Lol - my week off work has basically been me laying on the floor meowing back and forth with her and just talking with her!

I've got some catnip toys - wasn't going to try them - but will give it a whirl right now....held back from trying 'feliway' but a few people have suggested it now - so will order some of that also!

I'm not sure if she IS still crying for her siblings - she's definitely not pacing up/down and meowing her little head off. I put a hot water bottle under a fleece I'd bought her - and placed that on one of the beds she has....she was laying there in the morning, so I'm guessing she liked it :)

Just a shame, as she doesn't realise how spoilt she's going to be - but we'll get there :D

It sounds like you are doing everything right just hang in there she will come around eventually and realise you are the worlds greatest cat toy lmao and then you won't be able to get anything done without her there.

Lmao it's a good thing you enjoy the vocal side of her because soon you will be having fully fledged conversations with her and everyone else will think you are crazy, it's one of the joys of a Bengal though she'll always ask you how your day has been.

New bengal kitten owners need to understand that the bengal is a unique cat and while many moggie babies settle in immediately, bengals are different. Everything gets done in baby steps. Continually stroking her can over stimulate her and she may not like that. Talking with her is the best thing. Bengals meow for no reason! Highly vocal is not "talking nice to you." It's the yowling and the howling at the top of their lungs that they are famous for!

She is going to go where she feels safe when she is scared -- and it hasn't been very long that you've had her. There will be steps backwards in the process, but she will blossom and gain her confidence and then she will not leave your side. Patience is the key.

Hey all!

Well - she's loads better already :) So, thanks for all your help! She's now coming to get treats (Thanks Seraph - she loves the Thrive treats!) - and she's playing like a little maniac with the 'Da Bird' toy - in fact....she's just a little ball of energy now :D She's still a little nervous coming up to me - but I'm working on it, at her pace - she loves being fussed and almost falls asleep if you stroke her tummy...too cute!

Awww bless her I'm so glad she's settling in finally. Another one who can't resist the Thrive treats I haven't found a Bengal yet that will turn their nose up at them and they also work great for training in general.

Oh what a cutie pie! She will continue to make progress. I've found that the vast majority of bengals love to have their tummies tickled and will not retaliate with a grab of your hand with their claws. Raiden begs for several a day. He will come up to me and cry to get my attention, then practically somersault over and expose his belly. Yours is coming out for treats and playing -- that's awesome! Unfortunately, you are huge giant to her and it will take a little longer for that bond -- but when it happens, it is overwhelmingly strong.
