Hi sherry
We are going to get him a little rescue buddie not a Bengal or pedigree I volunteer for cat protection and there's so many kitties that need loving homes my friend also fosters in her home for them too so I can always make sure it's Coronavirus negative and if Charlie really didn't like another kitty being with him my friend would take the new kitty if Charlie hated sharing the house but I think he would like a friend he's booked in to have his vaccinations and then he needs to be neutered so there's still a little way to go yet before I can see if that's what he would like I want to do what will make him happy.
Will keep you updated
Best wishes

Just logged onto site for first time in a while so not sure if your baby has been neutered yet. If not, personally I would hang fire until you feel your kitty is totally well and strong enough for the procedure. I lost one of my BSH kitties to FIP and I believe early neutering did not help - he had already started displaying Symptoms of the corona virus and I truly believe having him neutered at six months exacerbated the condition. Breeder was not too pleased by my decision to have him neutered at the same time as his little sister - who coincidentally is fit and well after seven years. I was told by the vet that she had almost certainly been exposed to the virus and development of FIP although usually fatal, is still relatively rare.

Hi kitzcatz
Thanks for your post sorry about the loss of your bsh kitty , I'm abit confused was both your cats cats neutered the same time ? Are they the same age ? My Charlie is 1 year old now so he's well over due for neutering and I don't know if you read the post about his recent blood test for Coronavirus coming back zero that's why I held off on neutering him all that time. I'm really glad that his sister is ok , was he very unwell with the virus where she wasn't ? And how comes the breeder was annoyed that they was neutered at same time I don't understand that it doesn't seem to make sense can you please clarify it I would appreciate it .
Kind regards
Maryann x

Hi again - both kitties neutured at the same time, but before this, my little Ollie just generally appeared less developed than his sister and I noticed that his tummy appeared a little swollen. His eyes were constantly congested - all I know are not particularly good signs. One other problem I noticed is that he had started to become, very, very slightly wobbly on his legs, but the real symptoms kicked in after neutering, which I now realise was a very unwise decision. In fairness I had previously spoken to the breeder about one or two concerns and they were willing to take him back but by this time, we were totally in love with him.
One thing I hadn't remembered until beginning to type this response, is that he had also developed a heart murmer - breeder insistent this hadn't been present previously. I have since carried out a great deal of research and unfortunately I should not have had him neutured and if he had been my only cat, wouldn't have done so.
As we had pet insurance our little boy underwent various tests and a very extensive report from the specialist centre confirming the diagnosis and it was a case of palliative care until we had to have him pts at seven months of age - very sad day, but a blessing as eventually he totally lost the use of his hind limbs - we affectionately referred to him as Little O.

Hi Kitzkatz
Little O story made me cry how very very sad it must have brought you much sadness to explain to me in detail of his condition so thank you I really appreciate it, I've been in that situation where my babies have slowly faded away before my eyes and had to make that decision to end their suffering because we love them so much so I really feel for you , I'm happy that your little girl is still doing fine she probably won't be affected by the Coronavirus I notice you said your little o wasn't developing properly which sounds too familiar with f I p they are normally the smallest out of their litter too, thanks again for replying you have been a great help to me I'm sure you gave your little o so much love and cuddles in his short life that's all you could have done I wish your kitties a long , healthy and happy life I hope you never have to go through that again, I'll keep you updated on my little Charlie .
Best wishes

Oh noooooooo!!! You too?! I JUST learned Suri has corona virus as well. Im absolutely heartbroken. Apparently, the breeder I purchased her from s cattery is BADLY infected. Ive even been in contact with several other individuals who purchased kittens from this cattery.... every single one of them has CV or has already lost their kitten to FIP. Im so so so scared. I cant imagine losing Suri. So....not only does she have cataracts in BOTH eyes and a heart murmur...but she has corona virus as well. Wow.

Of course, the breeder has now stopped all contact with me. I would NEVER send Suri back to this man, but he NEEDS to have buyers complaining (warning) to anyone who will listen. Selling sick kittens is SO wrong on SO many levels. If he screws me out of my TICA papers, which he promised I would receive after she is spayed next month, hes going to have a VERY pissed off cop knocking on his door.

What symptoms has Orion displayed so far? Suri has only had a constant stuffy nose with occassional sneezing that even Clavomox hasnt fixed. Im REALLY REALLY hoping her case stays minor and does progress. :(

Hello, I am wondering what is the name of the cattery who has this bad reputation? Ugh...so sorry...I just joined the site so I am not sure if you are still on here or not. But I hope to hear from you. Thanks
