Hi guys :)
It's now been a week since Akio arrived (formerly known as Nevada)
It's been a hectic week with ups and downs but we've gotten past it (and the vet visit!) so I think things will even out from here on.
Akio is a very curious, vocal and born supermodel Bengal! Judge for yourself

He goes belly up when he likes to be touched, it's very cute how he meows when I touch him, then goes back to sleep. He looooves his cat tree!

He's not much into cuddles normally, but I hope in time he will be - It's only been a week after all :) I'm glad he's able to trust easily though! He's always walking around with his tail sky high
Except when that vacuum cleaning monster leaves the closet! then it's scared cat until it goes back in!

He's also full of glitter, see for yourself. It's terribly hard to catch it all though, so this is only a taste

I hope you guys will continue to be such great support and encouragement to me in this fairly trying time  I feel like I just adopted a baby and boy is it hard when he meows and I don't know what he wants. But thank you guys for showing me the door to this Bengal Wonderland - I'm sure my life will never be the same!

WOW, you've changed his name! I love it! He is spectacular and appears to be acting completely normal. Tail high in the air means confidence, so that is awesome. I don't know too many cats that like a vacuum cleaner, period! It's an alien to them that makes more noise than they do! I hope things continue to go well for you, especially after your next baby arrives in a few weeks. We are here for you, always!

Oh I don't know about supermodel... since he's a GUY  But yea, very attractive kitty.

Why are the times trying? This should be a happy and joyous time, at least on the kitty front. Sounds like he's adjusted quickly and successfully. Are there significant problems? Kittenhood only comes once, so enjoy it while it lasts!

As far as not knowing what he wants what he meows... here's a secret: Cats don't always want something when they meow. It's often just a greeting, or a random bit of communication. Ironically though, it's often your interpretation of it that gives it meaning! For example, he meows, you walk over to him and pet him, then give him a treat. Now that becomes the "treat-and-a-headrub meow" from now on

Oscar just meows as he loves the sound of his own voice! Stunning stunning kitty! Lets call his looks 'film star' if supermodel is a little too feminine

There are male super models --

Brian, I guess you never read DeathZhade's previous topics. She went into detail about her situation and health issues. Hopefully Akio will help with her issues.

Couldn't agree more!
I think, without Akio I wasouldn't be staying in my apartment for long - I'd find any excuse to go home to my mom and dad and sleep there. But with Akio it's easier to keep my motivation.
I've managed to still keep the second a secret  I've told my grandparents because I trust them, but it can be hard since I'm so excited

Also, Akio has established a routine where he poops at 2 in the night
I am ready to sleep by then, since I usually take my meds pretty late haha.
He's lot more cuddly and purring today!

His raw food will also arrive today so I'm pretty excited :D I also think I've found a treat he likes so it's on to clicker training.

Akio is definitely keeping you busy!!!! And the second one will as well. At least you don't have to wait as long for the next baby to arrive. Hopefully, his pooping schedule will get on track. They usually do it during the day sometime! But, he's still learning and adjusting. Hope he enjoys the raw food and the treats.
