But as I understand it 'seal' means snow. So a seal mink, or a seal lynx, or a seal sepia are all snows. The seal denotes that. Please tell me if Im wrong, but I was sure that was the terminology x

Seal I believe is to do with the albino gene cats which is often seen in Siamese, they still have the Siamese albinism which is why most of the coat is white bar the points, it's the points which change colour, so on the face and legs where it's usually brown it's silver and the rosettes/spots are grey/charcoal instead of dark brown, snows still have rosettes due to them being a tabby.

So think of a silver seal Lynx point as a seal Lynx point with an extra gene (i)which turns off the colour in the cat so they look silver on the points that are usually brown. So yes they are still snows just snows that possess the silver gene (i) which turns off the colour in them and makes them more monochrome, much like in a brown cat the (i) gene turns off the colour and they appear silver cos it's a white/silver background and inky black spots and the silver gene does is remove the colour from them.

I have just looked at Pearls pedigree papers and you are right she is a seal lynx point, I hadn't noticed before.

The point describes the darker markings at the points. I am still a bit lost. Hahhaha! Im gunna have a beer

Haha trust me I did find it all pretty confusing until I had it explained it's just what happens when a snow Bengal is born with the gene for silver so they look slightly different without the warm tones that a snow usually has.

Pearl is a such a beautiful little girl,
I think the difference in naming of snows is down to the registry they where registered with, Mina my previous girl was GCCF registered and was an AOC snow (basically green eyed snow) although her eyes ended up Aqua, TICA registration had her as a Seal Mink Point. Now as a lot more Bengal breeders use TICA rather than GCCF the snows go by the Seal Lynx/Mink/Sepia point naming conventions and then when you add silver and charcoal to the mix the names get even longer. Basically they are all snow bengals though lol just with slight colour variations.
