Raiden gets Frontline Plus for cats every 30 days. The thing with fleas -- they like humans as well and people can bring them into your home. A female can lay a zillion eggs and you and your cat are infested. So just putting a flea collar on Tiger when you're outside and take it off when you get home does nothing. It can take days to kill a flea! Your best option is to administer a liquid that lasts for about a month. They are not cheap -- but Raiden doesn't have fleas or ticks. It's worth the protection.
The other thing is if you are using a good harness, the flea collar and harness will conflict! Both go around the neck area. Use either a good quality walking jacket or an H harness for him. Make sure you get him used to it in the house before you ever take him outside. You do not want him fighting it outdoors and escape from it. Most of us put it on too loose anyway for fear of stifling the kitty. Just know that one walk will lead to another and another and then you're walking twice a day, sometimes three times a day, rain, snow, heat, cold.
