Hello I was wondering what types of screening tests etc do I need to have done for my female and her 5 kittens.
She was a gift to us and I don't even know if she's a carrier for all these different types of things they can carry!!!
Mum is being spayed soon as she's finished nursing and kittens at 4 months of age but do you know when they need any other tests? And what the tests are called?

PRA-b and PK Deficiency
Breeders usually screen for HCM too, but that needs to be done each year and it's usually breeders who do it because you shouldn't breed with cats that have it.
PK Def is very serious so I'd get that one done.
Not so sure about PRA but since all breeders I've seen have done it, it must also be very important
(I'm not a pro though, just read a bit about it :) )
