Thank goodness for this forum because where else could I ask this question?! So, I posted before that there was some aggression between Spider and Masaai. Its definitely switched, Massai is senior in all their tumbles now. Luckily for me, Spider was only slightly in charge and Masaai has settled into the same slightly higher spot. Their friendship has pretty much stayed the same. Grooming, sleeping together, everything. Im very lucky because it could have been so much worse. Anyway, a surprising question now comes to mind, and forgive me!!!! Before the 'power change' when Spider was dominant, one thing that he used to do that made me laugh/shudder was actively seek out cleaning Masaai's rear end (Ill keep it clean!) all the time!....and now that Maasai has asserted himself he is cleaning Spiders! Dominant cleaning submissive. I guess my question is, and I apologise for the question, have you seen this with your cats?! Lol

I only have one cat, so it's not been an issue for me, but in multiple cat households, the cats groom each other and I guess they can groom every single part of each other.

Yeah I get that, lol, bit that specific area I have only ever seen Spider doing to Maasai.....until now where the roles have reversed. Cats are weird!

Happens with mine. Noha is clearly bigger than his sister and has been the dominant cat since there has been any dominance to be seen. And he's doing exactly that to Lily while I've never seen Lily doing that to him. Cats' things

Thank you!!! I knew it couldnt be just mine! I do still sometimes scooch them away, even though I know its just natural. Their new favourite location for this particular brand of cleaning is right in the middle of my bed though!
