I keep my make up in a bag and the bag inside a cupboard or mine would probably be gone as well.

I have never had a bengal that steals as much as she does.

Magic used to steal a few things when he was a baby but doesn't anymore now he's older.

She is also a bugger for running up my net curtains, they were new before I had her in January now the living room one is full of holes, I'm hoping she will grow out of it.

I can't close my curtains because of my cats. I have Hunter Douglass Luminettes. They are verticals with sheer netting around them, very pretty. As a kitten Blondie would go crazy when I opened or closed them and jumped at the mechanism until she tore the ones in my bedroom. I was crushed as they were a big investment for me and my last cat could not have cared less about them. Even today if I close them, my cats will play at the bottom of them as if they are the best toy ever. As a result, I always leave them open.

I dont think theres any solution to curtains or blinds when you have cats! They have destroyed curtains, shimmying up them and unpicking the thread, and I know the blinds I have now arent going to last. They are fascinated with them! Chewing the cords, squeezing through the gaps, opening them while I am in the bedroom (my window is directly onto the street as well!)

I've seen the spring toys online at Chewy but wondered how big they actually were and if Raiden would be interested in them besides trying to eat them!!!

Raiden uses his One Fast Cat wheel almost daily. He will jump on it all on his own. Through Kickstarter, we paid $199 for it. I was extremely pleased with it and happy that Raiden will use it. He can sometimes get flying on that thing but by the time you get the camera ready to go, he's stopped and off of it. He always looks at us when he hops on it as if to say, "are you watching me so you can see me run?"

I don't know if the wheel is offered in the UK yet. They were going to try to go international. I know they are not cheap and some people have been creative and built their own wheels. They do take up space (ours is in front of our fireplace), but I'm happy I got it for Raiden.

Hey thanks Sherry. I have found somewhere now that sells that same one as in your picture here in the UK. £199, which is much better than I was thinking it would turn out to be. I also found maclaw wheels while I was searching, which I think look great, but they start at £500 and work up from there. I wont be buying one of those!

I can relate! My master bathroom and dressing area has a sliding glass door that opens up to the pool. I have solid block out verticals on that door and when the pool guy comes every Thursday morning I have the verticals closed while I get ready for work. Blondie and Grace sit in front of the verticals and open them up so I can see the pool guy invading their patio. All the yelling in the world will not make them stop exposing me. They just sit there pointing at the invader brushing the pool edges while holding the verticals open!

Haha! They have a mind of their own dont they!

Can I ask anyone who does have a cat wheel, how sturdy are they? Does the wheel ever come free?

This is the reason I haven't got a cat wheel, I don't want to spend hundreds of pounds to find they won't use it.

It's a risk, but look at it this way: in the unlikely event that neither of your bengals will use it, you just resell it, in pristine condition, at a little bit of a loss. Not the end of the world. You might not even have to take a loss on it if you resell it locally, fully assembled, and can have somebody pick it up or deliver it to them, saving them a lot of shipping and a long delay to get it. And the upside is really big if they do like it!

It's really going to depend on the brand. I got one of the toy-go-round wheels (which seemed to be the most popular wheel 5 years ago but now are no longer sold(?). Anyhow, despite the wheel itself being plastic and not very aesthetic, and probably over-priced, it is really really rock solid. No way that puppy is going to tip or come loose etc. 5 years later and still getting daily use thanks to Serafina and zero problems with it.

Before Blondie got the hang of it, she would de-rail her One Fast Cat Wheel all the time. It hasn't happened in a long time so maybe there is a learning curve. It just sits on these wheels so it is not securely attached.

Aah ok. Thanks guys. I dont think getting one that isnt securely attached is such a good idea with my 2. Ive a feeling if they realised it came off they would derail it on purpose. Maybe I will have to save and spring for one of the macpaws ones after all

The One Fast Cat wheel has been improved with wheel covers now. Raiden has never derailed the wheel and it's fairly sturdy on the wheel bases.

That being said -- Jill, why on earth would you want to close your blinds to the pool guy? I would be sneaking a peek at him -- especially if he's 20 something and quite the hunk!

I've ordered my cat wheel from Cazami Cat Wheels in UK - the seller, Nicola, is a former Bengal breeder and agreed to sell me the wheel even though I live in Denmark and it barely covers her costs (she's selling with a discount because she couldn't offer me a guarantee outside of UK when I first contacted her). She imports from Malaysia Cat Ferris Wheel.
She is really kind and will help with pretty much anything. I really look forward to getting my wheel and kitten :3 It doesn't seem like any of her customers have had issues with getting their cats on the wheels. You can help it along by using a laser pointer or feather toy to get them on it. Bengals seem pretty bright so it doesn't appear to take long before they use it - I've also seen many other breeds, like Maine Coon and Sphynx on her wheels.
I don't know the UK cost (maybe it was £345?) but I feel very safe with my purchase - even should it break she has spare parts that aren't too expensive.

Haha, I didn't mean to throw a sales pitch, but I can honestly say I am so very happy with how she has treated me, always ready to answer any of my questions (even when they had nothing to do with wheels XD)

I've had my One Fast Cat wheel for the best part of a year and had no problems - it gets used a few times each day. I was tempted by the McClaw wheel as they are fairly local when I am back in the UK, but the chance that Ada and Babbage might not use it made the OFC wheel a gamble with a smaller stake.
