Very well stated! You've done your homework and it's great that your breeder is willing to accept some competition, although it sounds like she doesn't ever have to worry about finding owners for her kittens. It should be the same for you, although first litters don't usually have many kittens.

I will take exception with the statement that pets aren't children! My Raiden is my baby! LOL. :biggrin:

He acts like a three-year-old who will never grow up (his name should be Peter Pan). I melt every time I see a cat. I'd have a houseful if I could, but Raiden and the hubby won't allow that.

Finding the right sire is a must unless you're planning to use one of your breeder's. In reading your posts, I find the process challenging and interesting and hope that you will allow us to follow your journey when the time comes. You may want to consider blogging your experience for others to read.

Well it's been a while since I posted on here. We've had our Bengal Miisha for nearly 10 months now. She is a bundle of fun and affection. She has her own room to sleep in at night with everything she needs, plus a cat wheel to burn off excess energy whenever the need arises. We have built an outdoor cat enclosure that she can access from inside house whenever she wants to go outside, so is safe and can't escape. She's in and out all day long. At night we have a curfew and it locks when it gets dark until daylight. But, we do keep her contained in her room when we go to bed as she'd be running around the house all night long getting up to all sorts of mischief! She seems to know it's her bed time and we don't hear a peep from her all night.

She has had a couple of long calls. And we've just gone through it with her lots more attention and comfort. Her cat running wheel has helped running off excess energy. We will be hopefully mating her in August. She's lots of fun and affection. A total diva, and quite bossy. Loves to "shout" at us for attention. Has us wrapped around her little paw. I will post pics of her, but don't think I can do it from my phone, so will have to upload them from PC.

Have you thought about possibly showing your little one as well, as it could help you meet other breeders and also see studs in the flesh and talk to them about which could be a good match for your girl. Plus it's fun and always looks good to potential stud owners and buyers.

As for crazy bengals, my little girl was still like a kitten and going crazy around the house when she was 16, these kitties never calm down.
