I use protexin synbiotic D-C. It's brilliant and Amazon UK sell it. Daily capsule which I open and sprinkle on his food.

Courtesy of Melissa's recommendation to me some time ago, I use the protexin one mentioned in her post to you for Hendrix and his tummy and fur are loads better.

I'm sure the States and UK sell different products. Try something and see how it works. I was giving mine a probiotic daily, however, he stopped eating the food with the powder on it, so I cut it back to 1/2 a packet in the morning. Still didn't want to eat it! Unfortunately, the end result in the litter box is not good. I may have to find something else for him.

I mix the power into the food and my cat's don't even know it's there. The container comes with a scoop inside and I just sprinkle it on the food and mix it around evenly. I think it says to use it each meal, but my cats have been on it since they were kittens so I just use it once a day. Their poop is perfect these days. They really had a problem with runny poo as kittens.

Ok guys thanks for that. I bought a couple and we are trying them now.
We also have been prescribed metronidazole and Clive hates it to the point he would go on food strike. I can't upset him now so after failing giving it to him with any kind of food , I bought pill pockets treats. These proved success with Indiya ,but Clive continues to spit them out and getting all upset.
Any other ideas I can try?

I prefer liquid medications so I can use a syringe. Raiden spits the pills back out no matter what I do. One gal who had to give her cat this pill said she purchased some baby food (meat -- chicken, beef, etc.). She syringed some of the baby food into the cat's mouth -- cat loved it. Then threw the pill in the mouth and syringed more baby food. Really??? She said it worked!!! Personally, mine would never hold still for that length of time.

Raiden has stopped eating food with his probiotic in it and his poo is mushy at the end again! Ugh!!! He won't eat any bland cat food for his digestive tract either. I may have to try a different brand.

A little trick I learned today (that was my 9th attempt) - split the tablet into 4 small parts, drill a hole in Treaties, stick one part into Treaties, mix it with another full Treaty for authenticity and -... ta da !! Repeat for the remaining parts .
Success with us for now! I just need to call to vets and explain that Clive refused to take first 8 tablets ,so I need to order more now .LOL

Thanks for offering, but I'll figure out a way to get the pill into them. I used to use topical flea medication but it made both of hem itch the fur off their necks.

Oh, okay. Amazon sells them so I ordered them and I will try the pill pocket idea. They look much tastier than actual pill pockets.
