We have had our kitten since 13th may, he has been fine up till now. He goes crazy when we get in from work jumping up our legs and scratching and biting hands. I have tried everything, playing for hours, putting him out of the room, ignoring him. I don't want to spray him with water but it's getting to the point now he is drawing blood every day. He has loads of toys, huge cat tree and fast wheel.

I have been there and can sympathize. Don't bother with a squirt bottle, it only makes them fear you and they turn it into a game to get you agitated and watch your reaction. They are little devils at that age after all. Wear long pants and keep kitties nails trimmed. be sure and have lots of scratching posts for them. It gets better as they mature.

I wear thick work trousers and he still manages to get threw them, Na water would be a very extreme last resort. I thought trimming his claws would be horrible for him as he wont be able to climb etc. He has a huge scratching post and cat tree has scratching bits everywhere.

Trim his nails at least every 30 days. If you can't manage, take him to the vet and the groomer will do a nice job for you. They grow right back and they can still climb and jump. You will have fewer wounds as a result. Also nails that are not trimmed get stuck in material and can be frustrating for your kitty. My two always seem appreciative when I take them to the groomer to have them trimmed.

I trim both my cats claws around once a month, if I didn't I would be covered in scratches from Pearl my 8 month old girl, Magic my 4 year old boy is fine but I still trim his claws as the play fight alot.

It doesn't stop them climbing any way.

Add a few scratching posts! I'm sure the cat tree has them, but he may need more! Kittens do love legs. You have to teach them the word "NO." Kittens' claws are extremely sharp and I don't know a single person in this entire world who has not gotten scratched up by a kitten. One thing you can do that may help is to engage the kitty in play. It's one thing to have toys laying around -- it's another to pick up a wand toy and let the kitten chase it until they are exhausted!!! Kittens need a ton of play time.

Your other option is to add another bengal kitten to your household!!!
