Just wondered with the door climber can you still shut the door with it on or do you have to take it off.

Yeah you can still close it. I put it on a door that I never close though just incase. If you had really tight fitting doors though I guess it could be an issue

I have mine on a door that always stays closed in my living room. The hot water tank is in that closet. My doors all have a pretty big space at the bottom but the top is like a normal door and it closes fine. I recall having a hard time assembling this piece on my own. Cat towers are much easier to put together.

Yeah it was real pain to put together on my own as well, it would definitely have been easier to do as a pair!

I purchased a Mollie and Friends cat tree that was already put together!!! LOL. The other two needed assembly and were quite easy to erect!

Sherry, do you have a cat tree outside? I trashed the patio chair Grace destroyed and I see her climbing on the backs of the remaining two trying to get up higher. I have a couple of cat trees they don't use so much any more. I was thinking of putting one outside, but it would get wet and I am guessing the carpet would get moldy. Any suggestions?

I have a cat tree inside Raiden's enclosure, which has a roof on it and is protected for the most part. If it rains sideways, the tree can get wet, so I do cover it then. There are cat trees specifically made for the outdoors. They aren't cheap, Here's one website: http://www.kittystoreonline.com/OUTDOOR_CAT_TREES . I'm sure there are other sellers out there.

Thank you so much Sherry, these look great! They are pricy but made to last. Oh Blondie and Grace would love something like this outside!

Make sure you check reviews online. I have visited their website before looking for cat houses, but haven't really looked at the trees. Raiden's is covered in rug with sisal posts. If it gets wet, it will fall apart! I think I've also seen outdoor ones that look like a real tree!

The outdoor ones are natural cedar with stainless hardware so they can be left out in the rain. I couldn't resist getting one although assembly might be a bit of a chore. They are going to be so excited! Now they can leave my patio furniture alone. It should arrive by the end of the week.
