Gaga had a series of seiziers early this morning. The were short, a few seconds long, but they kept repeating every few minutes. So I rushed her off to the emergency vet, where she is now. I talked with them on the phone, and they believe that she's going to be alright, but she's drugged up right now and won't be able to come home until tonight at the earliest. Hope she's ok, I already miss her.

Here's some recent pictures. She had been doing great, she was racing around the house, playing "chase" with serafina like they were kittens a few days ago.

Gaga and Serafina on a favorite blanket in my livingroom. I was working from home that day and they were hogging the seating area.

Gaga on one of her favorite perches, although sometimes I think climbing up the climbing pole is at least as big an attraction as the actual perch.

Oh no, Brian! Praying Gaga is fine. Her medication seemed to be controlling the seizures. I know this is scary for you and Gaga. Please keep us informed. {{{HUGS}}}

Gaga is a fighter...she has proved that with her last episode of seizures. I really hope she comes home to you soon x

Thanks for all the warm wishes everyone. It really does help.

They took Gaga right in, put some tubing in her arm, and got the seizures to stop pretty quickly, then continued to medicate and monitor her for the rest of the day. When I walked through the door I could immediately hear her in the back room, and letting everyone know that the accommodations weren't to her liking. They said she was good to go, and let me take her back home. I had a long talk with the vet there, and an even longer talk with her regular vet. They are going to revisit her medications.

When she got home, she wanted out of the carrier right away, then worked on ripping the bandage off her paw where the tube used to be. Then she did all the usual Gaga stuff: wanting to play fetch, climbing up her poles, and was extremely excited when I cooked chicken on the grill outside. I spent the night with her in the guest room so I could keep an eye on her, and give her a little TLC. Neytiri and Serafina weren't really happy, and Serafina is still upset that Gaga now smells like her nemesis (i.e., the vet). Today Gaga has acted like nothing happened, except that she's clinging to me a little more.

Here's some pictures commemorating her return last night:

"I'm very happy to be home"
Image

"I'd like to place an order for extra BBQ chicken please"
Image

"What's taking so long...?
Image

Gaga watching me eat my dinner (she'd already eaten hers). She's always my "best friend" when I eat BBQ
Image

"Mmmm your steak looks good!"
Image

"After a tough day, I deserve this..."

I didn't realise she suffered from seizures and I am so relieved she is ok.

I'm so glad they got it under control and she's back home. It's terrifying to watch them go through something like that.

So happy they were able to stop the seizures! She looks really good in the pictures. I hope she stays seizure free. It is such a scary thing when you are unable to help her. We really don't understand what causes them but hope the vet can come up with something that will keep them from happening. She went quite a while without having one on this medication. {{{HUGS}}} to you and Gaga.
