Hello, i have just discovered this forum and hoped it would give me more insight into the beautiful breed of Bengals.

I adopted Leo a few months ago at the age of nine months. He is a very friendly, curious, confident Bengal. He needs to be in the centre of anything that is going on. Leo doesn't shy away from any visitors, strangers or regulars. He is my first Bengal.

Leo was on a dry food diet, but has recently been changed to a raw meaty bones diet, which he took to straight away.

I am looking for more info on raw feeding so i can make sure he is getting everything he needs.

Welcome to the forum. Go to the Nutrition section of this forum and you can read up on raw feeding. The main thing is to make sure you are feeding hearts, livers, and crushing bones for calcium OR giving your kitty supplements that contain taurine and calcium.

Sounds like you have a typical bengal! Enjoy him.

Congratulations on your new addition!
A raw diet should include no more than 10% bone. Too much calcium will result in constipation.
A good site to visit is the Facebook Cat CRAP (completely raw and proud) group. There is a wealth of great information there.
Enjoy your boy. Do you have a picture?

Hi,

We are in Gillingham, Ben is a raw feeder too. We chop up various meets inc liver and heart and mix them together and feed approx 100g twice a day. Ben usually has some dry biscuits to graze on also.

Hi there. I'm not posting to give you advice. I had to look twice to realise this wasn't a thread I had posted. I am also from Kent and adopted a bengal called Leo 2 weeks ago. Coincidence! Where in Kent are you from? And where did you get him from? I am from West Malling.
