Magic has nicknames also they are bengal boy, sausage, handsome boy, baby and Mr magic he responds to them all, I know it's just tone of voice

LOL It may indeed be the tone of the voice. Most cats know when they are doing something wrong by the tone of your voice! Raiden is such a pistol! I've never had a kitty that I've called so many different names.

When Winnie was a kitten, she didn't always come to her name but after a while I think she understood that it was que for her to come to me :) She responds to Winnie, Wins and Winners (all things that sound like her name). Sometimes she comes if I call Baby Satan :3

Pearl is just starting to look at me when I say her name, it's not bad considering I've only had her a week, I just keep calling her by her name.

I'm sure it won't be long before she has nick names as well like magic does.

It doesn't take long for them to recognize their name, although I feel as if Raiden ignores me on purpose when I say his.

When Blondie and Grace are out on the patio, I just call out " here girls!" And they stampede over to me in a flash. Of course they are expecting food.

When I come home and Crow is hiding, I can call his name and he'll come running! It only took him a day to learn his name

Stephanie, how cute! Just the sound of your sweet voice should get him to come running to you! He's so happy you're back home.

My 2 wouldn't twitch a whisker if their real names were used, but they do recognise/respond* to Inky and ( Stink-a-) Doodle. :-)
