Merry Christmas to everyone (3 days early). My wish is to have more patience with Raiden. He's really pretty good most of the time, but the second my eyes open in the morning, he starts on his rampage to get his morning walk. I can't just hop out of bed and hook him up and take him out. My peepers need time to adjust to the light, get dressed, eat breakfast, take my vitamins, and then get him hooked up and out the door. We return and he takes a long nap, but is once again ready for the afternoon walk (usually 2 hours early) and the howling starts again. I tend to lose my patience with him. It's not his fault! He can't tell time. But, I am getting older and older and my patience left me years ago. I will try to take deeper breaths and give him more kitty hugs and kisses.
Can you let him out in his enclosure until you are ready to walk him? As soon as I am awake, I hear whining and chattering from my girls standing at the door in my bedroom. I stagger over first thing and let them onto the patio to calm them down. They pop back in the kitchen door and whine for food when I make my way down to the other side of the house. After they eat, they race back on the patio to investigate the sunrise and anything that moves.
