Hi there. Know it's not cat related but anyone who knows me knows how much I love Christmas!

I blame my dad, God rest his soul who filled every Christmas we ever had as children with such wonder and excitement that at the grand old age of 52 I still look forward to it every year!

Just wondering what programmes you are looking forward to watching?

For me I am looking forward to seeing Sherlock and Downton Abbey

Also what do you have Christmas Eve, Day to eat? I am really interested to know particularly those who are not from the UK. I am totally ignorant what happens in other countries!

We always have beef rib roast on Christmas Eve and Turkey on Christmas Day

We will have prime rib Christmas eve and leftovers on Christmas day. I will have a dinner served by our cafeteria at work Christmas night. I work from 1p -9p.

My birthday is actually ON Christmas...so its always a double holiday in our house. We dont really do anything too special on Christmas Eve. Ill be baking and decorating cookies with my kids, like we usually do. Some will be left out for Santa, and we will take several plates down to the Sheriffs Office and local PD to share with anyone on duty. The kids always watch the old animated 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' movie before going to bed. Later, Ill probably put on 'Elf' and 'A Christmas Story' which are two of my favorite holiday movies. Christmas Day, after opening gifts, I make a big breakfast (eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, cinnamon rolls, etc) and then I make an awesome dinner. (turkey, ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potatoes, corn, cranberries, rolls and pumpkin pies)

We will probably binge watch new DVDs the kids get as gifts. Im also looking forward to the Doctor Who Christmas episode. :)

I keep looking for the Movie The Bishop's Wife. That's my favorite holiday movie. I haven't found it listed yet but hopefully it will show up on the old movie station.

Our Christmas Eve meal was traditionally cabbage soup, Pierogis, and fish. I am going to my sister's for Christmas Eve so I don't know what she will be preparing yet. I plan to make our traditional meal for my New Years Day party I have every year. My friends have never had these dishes prepared by me so I think it will be a nice surprise. I also plan to make stuffed cabbage. I am into baking so there are always delicious Christmas cookies and pecan tarts around, not to mention my specialty, granola. I made 50 quarts of granola this year! Blondie and Grace were a BIG help.

As a kid we always did a big dinner on Christmas day. Ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, cranberries  it was like 2nd Thanksgiving.

As an adult it totally depends on who is "hosting". My husband and I tend to trade off with one of his brothers, so one of us hosts Thanksgiving and the other hosts Christmas (sometimes we host both lol). This year his brother is hosting and we're celebrating Christmas eve. I think they're cooking steaks and baked potatoes and the rest of us are in charge of appetizers, sides & deserts. Not quite sure what I'm making yet but I will be taking an appetizer and some desert options.

Christmas day is going to be quiet for us so I will probably make a big breakfast rather than making a big dinner.

For the hubby and me, Christmas is just another day. We do not exchange gifts. We do not put up a tree or any decorations. I do recall memories of Christmas' past with family. Some were great, some weren't so great! My immediate family is deceased and my nieces and nephews live thousands of miles away. We may not even have anything special for Christmas dinner -- and TV will be the same ole shows we Tivo.

Im going to see Star Wars on Christmas Eve, after that we will probably go to dinner somewhere in the city. Christmas day, we go to my mothers house and have a full on Italian style (Americanized) dinner lol so pasta, salad, turkey, fish, and so many desserts!

Sounds great! Wow my stomach is rumbling after reading all that.

I always enjoy Christmas Eve much more than Christmas Day. I'm not a mad fan of turkey but my son insists on it all being traditional. Got the Christmas shop coming on Wednesday and then Wednesday night we are off to a Waitrose Super Store to have a mooch around and pick up some treats. Can't wait
