My boyfriend decided to give our two Bengal boys dreamies in with their breakfast this morning. I told him not to; but typical man didn't heed my warning. The poor kitties ended up throwing up all over the cream carpets. Safe to say who was in charge of cleaning the mess up. The boys are fine now & my other half has now ditched the rest of the dreamies! It didn't go down to well when I reminded my OH that "I told you so!"

With my two it's the other end that is affected!

The only treats they get now are Thrive (Sainsburys sell them and cheaper there than at the pet shop!). Freeze dried meat or fish, nothing else in the treats at all. They love them, in fact they turn their noses up at most treats and wouldn't even try dreamies!

Muskey won't eat treats such as 'dreamies' etc and they would probably make him sick anyway. He's getting quite old now so I have to be careful with his tum.

What are "dreamies? Never heard of them! Must not be something cats should have if it makes them sick.

Most of the commercial treats sold at pet stores and super markets are really really horrible. Mostly meat flavored grains. Awful for your cat.

Dreamies: vegetable protein extracts, cereals, meat and animal derivatives (owch!)

Cats snarf them up because of the taste and smell, but it's the ultimate kitty junk food.

For much better snacks, try just some small pieces of deli meat, or freeze dried meat. Most pet food places sell freeze dried chicken or salmon (also tuna). They even sell those on Amazon. Also things like chicken necks are good.

Thankfully, Dreamies can't be shipped to the US!!!! Deputy -- is it possible Suri doesn't like seafood? Raiden won't touch the stuff. Can't buy anything salmon, shrimp, tuna, etc. I usually buy the chicken treats for him. Raiden did love the Blue Buffalo Chicken treats I bought for him.

I stick with chicken and turkey for Raiden! He's not really enjoying the beef much anymore. He's quite the finicky kitty.

I once left Ada alone in a room with an unopened pack of Dreamies - the treats that had been in the bay were dayglo orange - I spent the next half hour scrubbing dayglo cat vomit out of the carpet. :-(

Oh Cranberry! Poor Ada!!!! I can imagine that too much of anything will cause a cat to vomit. Raiden would eat a whole ba of treats if I let him.

We once bought a packet of dreamies and they both liked them. But I don't buy them anymore. I buy them Cosma snacks 100% freeze dried meat. They absolutely love Cosma snacks. They only need to hear the bottle and they come speeding to get their snack. Another treat they get every 2weeks is fresh salmon fish. I just think it is more healthy then the dreamies.
