Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask if anyone elses bengals have slowly been able to destroy their cat tree? My two, while I am delighted that they love it so much, are slowly but surely taking theirs to pieces! One post and platform has completely snapped off and is beyond repair because they run, jump and attack it with such force and they have been slowly eating away at the foam so it now is a shadow of its former self. I dont think it will last much longer! It wasnt cheap either and was a good sturdy construction, it just hasn't proved a match for Spider and Maasai and their plans for destruction! Im anticipating needing to replace it fair few times if this continues.... they are only 8 months old as well!

Cat tree? THE cat tree? Maybe that's your problem. There any many in my home, so the damage kind of gets spread out evenly between then, lol.

Some of my cat trees are starting to get a bit rickety and probably need to be replaced soon. Those are ones I've had for probably 10 years or more though, so I can't really complain.

If you want sturdy, I'd suggest going with something like:

I can vouch for both of those, as they are ridiculously sturdy and well built, and provide both climbing and snoozing opportunities.

I love the idea of the hicat ones in the second link. That is definitely something I will keep in mind for the future, but is way out of my price range at the minute, and it looks like something you would buy made to measure to your own house. Unfortunately I am still renting at the minute, but I will definitely remember it. They would love a go at those!

The one I have seemed perfectly good in construction though, but I guess it cant have been if you have had them last 10 years. Maybe I do just need to spend more money next time! Unfortunately as well my place isnt big enough to accomodate more than one cat tree realistically right now

As soon as I buy another place I will definitely be considering both of your suggestions, I think they look great! Just really dont want to be losing any more of my deposit than I inevitably already have. The tree they have for now has a while left in it luckily! It will be interesting to see what state it is in though when I finally do have to send it to the bin

Those cutie pies can't do anything wrong, can they? Raiden has three cat trees. When you have more than one cat, you probably should have more than one tree. I do have a friend with 5 indoor cats and they pretty much tore apart their cat tree. They got a new one and left the old one on the side of their house and it was pretty badly beat up. Raiden has had his for over 2 years and they look like new. And he does use them daily.

I would love to have them more than one, but I am in a one bedroom apartment at the moment so I would have to sacrifice my actual furniture to make room! As soon as I am in somewhere bigger I will sort them out.......if only they were as innocent as they appear the little rascals!

I can only imagine how little free space you have for another cat tree. I have limited wall space in my large home and can only manage two cat trees inside and one in the enclosure.
