Curious. Has anybody put their Xmas tree up whose got a Bengal. If so was their any mishaps. Don't know whether put mine up, think it might be a disaster waiting to happen?

Yes, and mine just hide under it thankfully! I didn't put any delicate ornaments on though, expecting the worst...

Don't know whether risk it or not, will see if he quietens down abit in another few weeks. Over very risky ha ha.

We've never had a problem with our tree. We have a live tree. Quasar has never bothered with it.

You must have missed the picture posted in another topic of a toppled tree thanks to a cat! I'm sure you can just google and find a lot of pictures, including a cat IN the Christmas tree! Cats are attracted to hanging ornaments that may be sparkly and swaying in the breeze. I don't think the cats mean to topple the tree, but many have. I recommend you put the tree up Christmas Eve and take it down the end of Christmas Day, unless you can close off the room! LOL. But, you may have a cat who is not the least bit curious -- mine would be all over it, but we don't put up a Christmas tree.

Also, cats have been known to be attracted to the gifts under the tree and decide that waiting for Christmas morning is way too long and will open the gifts and spoil the surprise to all the good little girls and boys.

I remember when I had Dexter and put our tree up. He WOULD NOT leave it alone lol and was forever sitting amongst the branches or clambering up it. I think it's just too hard for them to resist!
