Can anyone tell me if you can feel the microchip under the skin?

Is that annoying?

Thanks

Our vet pointed it out to us. It's like a grain of rice embedded in the skin. You can sort of feel something there, but can't be certain what it is.

I understand if you know where the chip is, you can feel it. I've never tried with Raiden. It's really very small and the animals don't feel it at all. It's very important to microchip your pets, even indoor pets who may eventually escape through an open door or window.

It is usually implanted just below the neck/around the shoulder area. With my rescue cat, I was able to feel it, it just felt like a grain of rice. With my Bengal boy, however, I have tried to feel for it but couldn’t find it.

I can't feel Faust's, but Maxwell's chip migrated down his shoulder. Anyone that pets him notices.

Supposedly, the chip cannot migrate! Hopefully, it is still in a place a reader can pick it up. They usually run the scanner across the back of the shoulder.

I have NO idea where Raiden's chip is since it was done long before I got him. He loves getting massaged in the shoulder area. Maybe I need to be more observant.
