Hi,
I've noticed a lump on Bella's nose. I've read that it could be a lot of things from tumour and cancer to a sting some kind. Does anyone can say their opinion on this. Don't want to take her to vet in case it's just a sting from somebody or should I be concerned
I saw her catching wasps and spiders in the house before (she's indoors cat btw)

How long has it been there? Is it a hard lump? If you touch the side of it can you move it?

My wife noticed it yesterday and told me about it only today.
It's hard I don't think I can move it. Bella doesn't like when I touch it she allways tries to run away from me but doesn't meaw ... When she had flies she meawed non stop, so I gues she is not in pain now...

Nothing wrong with taking her to the vet for your peace of mind and to make sure it is nothing serious! And if the vet finds that it is something serious, you can begin treatment right away. My vet charges $55 for an office visit/exam and they are 2 miles down the road. For me, it's peace of mind. You can always keep a watchful eye on the lump and see if it changes or goes away. It's possible she got stung by something. In that case, the lump or swelling should be gone in a few days. If not, then it could be something else and I'd take her in for a checkup.

I'll wait for tomorrow. If she doesn't get any better I'll take her to the vet.

Because it's hard I would get it checked out just to be on the safe side. It could be a sting but I would think that would be tender to the touch.

The rule of thumb our vet gave is that if it's soft and you can move it then it's more than likely just fatty tissue in the skin, we still take them in to have an aspiration done to confirm but it's not as big of a worry. If it's hard and you can't move it bring them in.

It was actually nothing. I had aome unplanned plans and had to leave home for 3 days. When I came back there was still a small lump but when I touched it it fell off. So I'm guessing it was blood she probably hit something sharp when running around house and started bleeding. Blood hardened with her hair and dust and it looked like a lump. Now it is all clean and smooth.
