It looks like I haven't been here since 2011 so I guess I should reintroduce myself.

Until recently, I had two bengals. My marble snow boy passed away this year from mystery health issues. He had been disabled/sick for two years. I lost my girl when she ran out the door from my home near Paris, Ontario on August 25, 2015. I've had her for seven or so years.

I'm here to post her missing poster just in case someone finds her and happens to visit this site.

She is a typical brown-spotted bengal with green eyes. She has her claws and was not wearing her collar when she escaped.

Welcome back to the forum! I am so sorry to hear you lost your boy to an illness! And now to have your little gal escape from your home. There is a lot of information online on locating missing cats. It appears she was not allowed outdoors, so she's probably unfamiliar with the area. Most do not go very far. They're just scared. A humane trap might lure her in. Create a flyer and send to veterinarians in the area. Contract all animal shelters. Does Craigslist reach into Canada? They have a lost and found section. And, keep looking for her. This forum is not as active as it once was, but hopefully, someone will find your baby.

Sorry, I haven't been here for awhile.

I did everything from talking to neighbours, putting up posters, contacting local vets and shelters to posting everywhere online. We use Kijiji as oppose to Craigslist here. I've been on every missing pet site on a daily basis.

Three people from a town about seven miles away said they saw her, but that's it. More posters and a search turned up nothing. I wonder if it was actually her or just a lookalike.

There is one thing that I didn't think of. In all of my ads, I said that she is not micro-chipped. I got her when she was a year so it's possible that her previous owners (more than one) or breeder micro-chipped her, but neglected to pass that information along. Does anyone know of any breeders in Southern Ontario, Canada (who microchip their kittens) that got a call saying a bengal turned-up? Long shot, I know.

It's been almost five weeks now:( Maybe she got eaten by a coyote the first day, and this has all been in vain.

FYI, we put out a live trap the second night and caught a barn cat.

I am so sorry you haven't found your little girl! It's a great big world out there and if she's not used to fending for herself outside, then it becomes more difficult for a kitty to survive. It's highly unlikely she would have traveled seven miles. I sent out 1,800 flyers and postcards when I had a kitty go missing and even though his black and white markings were very distinctive in the pictures, I had so many people call me from miles saying they saw the cat. The cat would have had to cross an interstate highway or a 7-lane major road to get to these areas, which would have been impossible. I know you will never give up hope, but the majority of cats, if they are going to be found, will be found within a couple of weeks. My heart goes out to you.

I always hope for happy endings. If only they would make GPS equipment smaller and less expensive, we could all have our cats monitored -- even inside the house. A champion show cat (bengal) got outside recently and has not been seen since! It doesn't take much of an opening for a cat to escape. My husband and I have to be super careful or Raiden will run out the door. I'm terrified of losing him. There's always hope that someone found your little angel and simply hasn't come across any of your posters or postings.
